Great everyday skin

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I picked a pair of Climb 2.0s back in October 2020 and have logged about 175,000 feet of vert of them since then. They have held up very well only showing some loss of felting around the tails and a few stitches that attach the tail strap coming undone. The glue is still tacky and confidence-inspiring. The glide is super smooth and the grip is solid. They do tend to slide on glazed-up skin tracks especially compared to my old nylon skins.

Seriously unimpressed

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Bought these instead of my usual Contour Mix since my local shop didn't have the size I needed in stock, and I'd heard good things about Pomoca. Wish I'd held out or ordered online. I've skied about 10 days on these. The plush is fine and glides well enough, but it's already showing signs of wear, with patches of missing plush. The glue is decent and sticks well enough, though I prefer the smooth, easy pull-apart of Contour's hybrid glue. The hardware is where these skins really let me down. The tip attachment on one skin has almost completely fallen apart. Granted, the first crack occurred after catching the wire bail with the other ski's tip mid-stride, but I've done this plenty of times with other skins and never had issues. Aside from the bail itself, the attachment is made of cheap, thin plastic, and the small crack has spread such that the entire attachment has broken apart. Woof. And the tail clip design is, in my opinion, terrible - it requires a lot of fiddling to get it to lock on to the ski, and it's needlessly difficult to adjust the length. I've read stories of the stitching on the tail clips failing completely, and given that the stitching on one of my skins is nowhere near centered, I wouldn't be surprised if mine failed as well. Overall I doubt these skins will last more than a full season, and that's assuming the inevitable epoxy job on the busted tip attachment holds up. Maybe the higher end Pomoca models are better, but I'll be sticking with Contour going forward.
