Resistance Pro DH Glove

Achieving the right mix of control, protection, and breathability in a DH glove is tricky business, but POC manages to do a fine job of it with its Resistance Pro DH Glove. As the pricier DH glove in the Resistance line, the Resistance Pro comes crafted with the addition of durable ceramic fabric on fingers and knuckles, POC's VPD system padding along the knuckles, and extra silicone palm padding compared to its more entry-level sibling. The lightweight VPD pads will absorb impact when you fly over the bars or get a little close to a trail-side branch, while silicone printing on the brake fingers lends crucial cockpit dexterity as you blast through chunky rock gardens.

Velcro loose on arrival

Size Bought:
L

The velcro strap on the left glove was already hanging on 2 threads when I got the gloves, so I returned them. The fit wasn't great for my relatively thin hands with long fingers. Expensive. They do have a nice combo of protection and being lightweight.

Not actually touch screen compatible

Just came in the mail to replace my worn out trusty kitsbow gloves. They are not touch screen compatible. I have an iPhone in one and this glove on my other hand and am tapping - nothing is working on the phone response to it. The fit is a big on the tighter side of medium.

weak palm padding but otherwise great

I'm an overconfident novice mountain biker and bought these because when I land on my palms, my half gloves let my fingertips touch the ground, and I was looking for protection from that. (also because they look cooler). I was disappointed that the pads on the palms are thin and don't fully pad the bottom of your hand. I'm able to use my thumb on my iPhone but not the fingers -- just enough to press "record" on Strava. Update: I have used them 20+ times and they are holding up fine (I hand wash and air dry them). Also I just cut the velcro strap off because the glove is not going to come off on it's own so you don't need it. Upgrading to 4 stars.

Velcro, stain and low-quality fabric

Size Bought:

It?s flexible, ergonomic, air ventilation and breathability is great, paddings are ok but velcro doesn?t work well and the most importantly, the fabric started falling apart from the wrist area due to get on and off. i would expect more durable fabric but it?s definitely not. after eight weeks daily bases usage, it would not have been like this. I don?t recommend this glove; I?ll probably try other brands next time

The POC VDP works to protect your hand from when you misjudge the space between two trees! Its the same material they use on other armor products POC sells. Although the picture makes them look burly and heavy, they are comfortable and breath well. They allow a solid handlebar feel. I went up one size from the guide, the glove comes off just a little easier but still fit snugly. My hand measures just below the cut-off between the large and XL. So, technically, they are true to size. One disappointment is that the gloves fingers won't work on an iPhone X but that's not really why you buy a glove like this. Again, buy this glove for the protection, comfort and grip feel. A note about the velcro, honestly, I dont see why you even need a closure on this glove, they are cut in a way that the closure doesn't add anything.

The gloves breath very well for the Texas summer heat, excellent protection and touches in the right places. Would have given 5 stars if the velcro straps actually held. Only complaint.

good gloves, velcro quality is wanting

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

After three rides the velcro no longer sticks and the strap just floats in the air. I've had to modify the glove to add my own velcro. The gloves appear solidly built and they breathe well in the heat. I would not recommend.
