Joint VPD Air Elbow Pads
POC's Joint VPD Air Elbow Pads are built for cyclists who see protection as a back-up plan, not an inevitable go-to. They incorporate VPD padding, which may very well be POC's initialism for [High] Velocity Pedaling Demon. The pads don't weigh you down, so your pure XC and climbing speed won't be compromised, but they will catch you in case of a high-speed user error. A neoprene sleeve and hook-and-loop strap secure the pad while pedaling and under impact, so it won't be out of place when disaster comes courting.

Comfortable and good protection

I?m wearing these pads on every ride, and they don?t bother me at all, even in hot weather. They fit me very well, and don?t move at all. I?ve ?tested? them twice in a crash, landing on my elbow/forearm in both cases at high enough speed to slide a little. Excellent protection both times, walked away without a scratch.

Don?t stay put

I want to like these elbow pads but they just don?t stay in place. By the end of a descent they are around my wrists no matter how tight I make the Velcro strap. Seems like it would make sense to add a strap to the upper arm as well.

There when you need them and barely know

I just rode 2 full hardcore downhill days and a 25 mile xc day and was so glad to have the pads. They paid for themselves already. A little irritating on the arm occasionally but the shape keeps them in place plus you have the straps. I originally ordered the g-force but the fit was not good. My friends had g force pads as rental equipment and they were constantly round their ankles. Very pleased with my purchase.

Fit tiny arms
I have a hard time finding elbow guard that would fit me. Everything ends up loose. My biceps is 9 inches and this XS fit me perfectly. If I wear this over my sun sleeve then it fit snugly. If your biceps is bigger than 9 inches, I would recommend you go for size S or bigger.

Pretty good, if sweaty

I?m using these for flatland skating and they provide plenty of protection for my purposes. The guides on POC?s website suggested I order Medium, which turned out to be comically small. The large ones fit well and I have had no problem with slipping. They have a strap around the bottom that can be cinched down for those who need it. I find this mostly a hassle as it can tangle a little when you?re putting them on. My only complaint is that they make my arms sweat more than my old hardshell ones did.
