Aspire Sunglasses

In a sea of aggressively styled, increasingly space-aged, cookie cutter shades, the POC Aspire Sunglasses' modern styling stands out and boldly dares to be different. Their partially framed nylon Carl Zeiss lens ensures consistent visibility and a wide field of wind-protected view. A Ripel treatment further increases lens utility by repelling dirt, resisting fogging, and generally fending off grime so you'll spend less time by the side of the road cleaning your lenses and more time enjoying the views from the saddle.

The Aspire's Grilamid frame is actually a bit flexible, and while it won't allow you to fold them up and put it in your saddle pack, it does help prevent cracks and damage from everyday use. The hydrophilic rubber nose and earpieces on the frame will keep the glasses from moving around as you work up a sweat, because there's nothing more frustrating than having to take a hand off the bars every few seconds to shove a pair of wandering sunglasses back onto your nose when you're already in the red.

Each frame color comes outfitted with a lens specifically developed to perform in differing environments based on their Visible Light Transmission. Featuring Clarity technology from optical industry leader Carl Zeiss, the lenses control the color spectrum for enhanced contrast and color definition, ensuring your vision stays sharp regardless of whether you're riding road, MTB, or using them for everyday activities.

Large and Uncomfortable

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased these glasses with fitness and lifestyle in mind. I wanted something sturdy that would provide solid coverage without sacrificing comfort when wearing. While these definitely provide plenty of coverage, they do not feel well made and the temples are pretty uncomfortable when riding. I found this strange because the glasses had a hard time staying up on my nose despite the tight temples. Just an overall strange fit for me. Overall I think I would have kept them, but they just don't feel like the kind of glasses that will last.

Large and in charge!

I've used it several times

I am loving these so far. I have always thought that bigger glasses were superior because of how much better they block wind/dust, and it seems like your field of view increases as well. I have used Oakley and Smith in the past, but these might be my new favorites. I also think that the Clarity lenses are some of the sharpest and most vibrant lenses I have used. Fairly light and sit comfortably on my face, and they go perfectly with my POC Tectal. Now go get some!

Clearly these are amazing

I've put it through the wringer

Admittedly I am an Oakley fanboy. Just wanted to start with that. I know it might seem silly but I feel like I notice the clarity difference between Oakley and other brands. With that said, these are super clear and I love them. Also, compared to the Oakley Sutro, which I think these are close to, these stay on my nose better with a lighter overall weight and a better grip when my face is sweaty. Plus you can adjust the temples. My face seems pretty average as far as width, I thought these would fall off cause they didn't squeeze very snug, but the nose material really holds on. Then I discovered you can change the tension by bending the temple pieces in the rubbery area, now they fit snug, giving me a little more peace of mind, even though they never moved on me before. I love these! They are super comfy, stay in place, offer amazing clarity, and block the wind wonderfully.
