Easy to install
This dropper lever is easy to install. It is hinged, so you don't have to remove bar grips or brake levers to slide it on to the bar. You just make room on the bar and put the lever on and close it and bolt it around the bar. Perfect.

Pain to Install & Terrible Customer Svc
- I returned this product before using it
I cannot judge the seatpost as I have been unable to use it. It has been almost 3 weeks since delivery. It looks solid, looks good and the post is very easy to install. It comes with everything you need. But there's a problem.. Its nice that they supply the lever with the post but the lever they supplied is extremely exacting & tedious to install. No instructions came with it. It involves having to insert very small hinge bolts, hold in place, ensure the thin hinge inside is also held up all the while trying to insert the cable through another tiny threading bolt...which you also have to hold in place until its all inserted. After 15 minutes of multiple drops, frustrations at not being able to see the hole to thread the cable and did trying to make my fingers do 2 things at once...I finally got the agility test done! That was stresful! OK. I proceeded to last step & tighten both sides of the bolt. I did...but did too tight and it snapped. So..I emailed PNW Customer Service and its been almost 3 weeks AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT EVEN MAILED THE REPLACEMENT. Overall, I rate PNW Customer Service as horrible for 2019 level. Its email. They do not reply the same day. They do not work weekends obviously. So conversations are pain-staking and days long. I highly recommend *not* buying from PNW. Their customer service is slow, uninspired and very frustrating. They do not yet know how to handle customers who are ready to be fans. >>> Update 7/31/19 - The sent the wrong part. I am still unable to use their product.

I recommend you purchase items through your local shop where trained mechanics can install your parts. Probably less stressful ;)

For what it's worth, I've had the complete opposite experience with PNW. They were quick and thorough.

My PNW dropper barely lasted me a season before fluid started leaking out of it and the actuation started to fail

CX Lever Not Worth It
- I've used it several times
I really wanted to like this CX dropper lever. I paired it with a PNW Pine external dropper on a gravel bike and took it off after a month of riding. My biggest complaint was difficulty of getting clean cable routing - the position forces the housing to curl around to follow the bar contour which introduces a lot of cable drag. Then the inline barrel adjuster didn't want to hold the housing straight unless it was adjusted all the way in. I don't know what brand the included cable was, but my Park Tool cable cutter really didn't want to cut it cleanly and the cable end position behind the lever made it fussy to cut short enough to be unobtrusive. It was hard to get good tension on the cable before clamping without a third hand, and lastly, there was no grip to the lever blade so by thumb wanted to slip off on rough terrain. Oh, and you have to completely unwrap your bar tape for install. The good: construction quality is solid and the kit includes cable and housing, so everything you need for install.
