Rainier IR Dropper Seatpost
A few seasons riddled with frequent stops to readjust your saddle height at every change in grade has you looking to preserve your flow with a PNW Components Rainier IR Dropper Seatpost. Boasting light actuations and a sealed damping cartridge this dropper puts adjustment at the tip of your finger to manage transitions from high-speed singletrack to stomach-dropping descents with a deft press of its handlebar-mounted lever. Forged from 6061 T-6 heat-treated alloy, this dropper seatpost has an air chamber that gives the rider customizable control over the post's return rate, which mean you get to choose how swiftly the post returns to full extension when the lever is pressed and the saddle's unweighted. At the bars a streamlined, ambidextrous lever integrates cleanly on either side of the handlebar for quick access to dropper action whenever you need it.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
So I replaced my specialized command post with the pnw Rainer on my fsr comp. And it's a huge improvement. Other than lacking the audible thunk that my fox transfer has( on my yeti sb130) the Rainer has been reliable and operating smoothly for the last two months. Plus its $100 less than the fox transfer and comes with a reasonable dropper lever and there is less play in the seat. Overall I highly recommend the Rainer.
Super affordable and performs well.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I enjoy the PNW dropper posts. They offer a very wide variety on sizes at very affordable prices with a reliable product. This is now my second PNW post and I love it. They also come with the lever.
