    Duthie A.M. 15L Backpack

The Duthie A.M. 15L Backpack is back with a fresh face, but as ready as ever to conquer your favorite trails. The largest pack in the Platypus collection, it's equipped to handle full days on the mountain so you never have to worry about leaving any gear behind. A roomy main compartment pocket easily stores your rain jacket, snacks, spare parts, and sunscreen, and the three-liter reservoir in the hydration sleeve makes sure you never get thirsty on the trail. Even if the sun beats down on you, the ventilated FloatAir suspension helps provide airflow to your back while the fleece-lined eyewear pocket safely holds your sunglasses or goggles when you need some extra protection from the rays. The Duthie also features a carrying system for a full-face helmet and pads, pump sleeves, magnetic hose retention, rain cover, and several pockets to keep you organized and prepared for any flat tires or photo-worthy spots.

    They thought of everything!

I was more than impressed with the features of this backpack. I took it into the reaches of Moab and the monsoon I dealt with on the motorcycle and it met my needs in almost every situation. The bladder that it comes with is from Platypus's Evo line which had the perfect amount for a day ride in the desert. The framed suspension system kept the bag from my body which in turn kept sweat spots building up on my back. The front pocket that is designed to store pads in actually wraps around the whole front of the bag giving yourself multiple options for either side bottle storage, knee and elbow pads or even bigger items like the growler I brought with me camping. The pockets were color coded so I didn't waste my time reaching for the wrong zippers and the middle pocket had many options so I could organize gear without putting on a tone of weight. Something you don't see in the pictures is the rain guard which is fluorescent and reflective. Smart move since you'll probably need to be more visible on the road if it were raining. The only downfall of the pack is actually one of my favorite features. The FloatAir suspension system holds the materials taught on the exterior of the bag. When I took a tumble this was the first point of contact to the abrasive rock creating a hole in the pack. Overall amazing pack.
