Good for longer day hikes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Height:

- Weight:

My name is Shannon, not David. I am a woman :^) Good size to hold gloves, beanie, small jacket when temperature warms up. Can also fit extra snacks for longer days and two 500ml water bottles for the dog. Hip pockets are tiny, but don't hit your arms when walking. Bladder is easy to clean (full open top & detachable hose). Has a plastic piece in blatter to keep the walls from collapsing together (good for drying & won't suck together when water gets low). A little awkward filling (pinch open and hold with one hand). Can't reach any pockets (except for hip pockets) when on. Will need to add something to hold GPS or phone for quicker access. So far seems durable.

Great for day hikes
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

I was aware that this pack is meant of biking however since it was on sale I took a chance and purchase it as a day pack when I hike. It comes with a bladder and I instantly fell in love the platypus bladder because it was easy to fill up and clean. The front compartment is where I store my hiking sticks and other stuff that I need right away. The middle compartment contains some extra clothes and snacks. The 3rd compartment is for the bladder and I also put 2-3 bottled drink in it as well. For a small pack it sure can fit all my gear for a long day hike.
