Grevil Ultegra Di2 Complete Allroad Bike
Sure, Pinarello has had the Gan GR in its ranks for gravel exploits, however, its rather slight tire clearance, one-wheel size persona (700c), and lack of other gravel specific features had it feeling more like a modified road-going Gan and less like a dedicated all-road machine. That all changes with the Grevil Ultegra Di2 Complete Allroad Bike. Built up with all of the current gravel standards such as flat-mount disc brakes, stiff 12mm thru-axles front and rear, and a refined gravel geometry, the Grevil promises comfort, classic Pinarello styling, and efficient speed to your next mix terrain ride.
The Grevil features similar eye-catching styling cues as the top-tier Dogma K10, with its signature curves, aero section, and asymmetry. Pinarello's goal was to make a bike that was fast over gravel and the road sections that connect them without relying on any suspension systems that can sap power. To do so, it relied on aero tube shapes that help slice through the wind and drop watts loss to air resistance as well as slightly flattened chainstays and seatstays that impart additional compliance over the bumps while maintaining lateral stiffness.
The most notable difference between the Grevil and its high-end cousin is the type of carbon used to make them. While the Grevil+ boasts the top-end of the top-tier Torayca T1100 1K Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology, the Grevil consists of slightly more compliant T700 UD carbon, which gains weight and sacrifices a tiny bit of stiffness but drops the overall cost significantly. While this carbon is slightly less rigid than the T1100 1K, it remains a high-strength, race-worthy layup designed to handle hard miles over varied terrain. It's every bit as light and stiff as the bikes that many of our cycling heroes rode to grand tour and monument wins not that long ago. We should also note that, like most cycling fans, we still lust after those bikes even as technology pushes ever further into the future.
Since this is a Pinarello at the end of the day, we'd be remiss not to point out some of the aerodynamic signature features like an oval-front and FlatBack profile tube shaping throughout the frame and fork, creating an aerodynamic profile that slices cleanly through the wind without any extra materials bogging down the scale. Fork Flaps, an FSC integrated seat clamp, and aero seat post add to the wind-cutting advantage and offer clean, uninterrupted frame lines.
The Pinarello Grevil features carefully engineered Think 2 internal cable routing, complete with E-Link Di2 junction box compatibility on the down tube, that works with both mechanical and electronic shifting systems for an added dose of aerodynamics and crisp, clean lines for any setup. It's finished with a threaded Italian bottom bracket that does away with PressFit's creak and longevity issues, a trend that we're happy to see resurfacing across the industry.
This particular version of the Grevil rolls on Fulcrum 650b wheels plumping up the WTB Resolute tires for maximum traction and floatation. Shifting and braking duties are handled via electronic signals and hydraulic pressure from Shimano's excellent Ultegra Di2 group, with an added touch towards chain rentition with its clutch-eqquiped RX rear derailurre. Finaly, cockpit components are provided by house brand MOST.

Jack of All Trades
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
If you are someone who likes to ride a little bit of everything, this it the bike for you. Even with the knobbier tires, it still felt smooth and precise on the road and pavement, and when took it off the road and on to the dirt, that is when it really stood out. Even on singletrack, it was still fairly stable and easily maneuverable. Once you got out on a stretch of fire road or gravel, it ate up all the small bumps and it felt like you were back on the asphalt. It was so smooth and so quick. On longer rides, I found that I was not as fatigued as expected, and I think that just shows how efficient and comfortable the bike actually is. The Ultegra Di2 group works flawlessly, and I have not had a bad shift yet! Overall, great build on an even better bike.
This bike is a beast! During the week I got to ride this bike I tried to throw as much as I could at this bike and the bike handled it like a champ! I rode this in the dead heat, in the rain and wind, in the dirt and the not so smooth streets of Salt Lake City. I took this bike on shorts rides everyday I got to ride it and I even took this bike on a 20 mile ride, unlike me the bike handled the ride like it was nothing. Short or long distance this bike will get you where you need/want to go without an issue.
Great Gravel bike
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Had the pleasure to spend a week on on of these bad boys. It was the first time I have ridden a gravel bike of that caliper, but man did it make a dirt path a ball! The rather aggressive geometry of the grevil keeps you in the perfect position to transfer power while still being able to nimbly avoid obstacles in the trail. Not only did it slay the dirt road, but it was also quick across the pavement getting to the dirt! Love this beauty.
Is it possible to get this with the ultegra manual shift group?
