    Stay stealthy.

Tactically designed for hunters, fishermen, and wildlife viewers, the Petzl Tactikka Plus Headlamp is a compact lighting solution projecting 250 lumens at full blast. It runs on three AAA batteries, lasting up to 260 hours when you're maximizing battery life. Red proximity lighting prevents eye fatigue when you're reading maps and navigating after sunset. Also, there's a red strobe that projects light up to 700 meters away in emergency scenarios. And because you'll be subjecting this headlamp to the elements, the rugged housing withstands oncoming showers and splashes without compromising its integrity.

Nice Bright Lamp at a great price

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a super solid headlamp. 250 lumens keeps what's in front of you visible and it's comfortable on your noggin.

    So Much Stealth

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Was really stoked on this little guy, except for when I dropped it in the dirt. It seemingly disappeared for a moment in front of my very eyes. Might want to second-guess the camouflage colorway.

    Solid Headlamp for your adventures!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This headlamp is a great, simple headlamp that gets the job done well. It has all the features you need, and nothing extra. 250 lumens is more than enough for most camping/night trail excursions. I also highly recommend purchasing the Core Rechargeable battery, since it's super nice to be able to charge in your car if you forget batteries.

    All-around solid.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used these things night-hiking around the uintas and couldn't ask for more. The 250 lumens are more than enough power for hiking around in the dark. I decided to buy the RGB version for camping and reading maps though and are already worth the up-charge. I did like how simple it was to operate between different light frequencies.

    My Go-To Headlamp

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is awesome. It's durable, water-resistant (which is a huge plus), and crazy bright. I take it everywhere! It's also super lightweight, and the battery life is among the best I've encountered in a battery-powered headlamp.

    Who's afraid of the dark?!?

I bought this headlamp for my wife because she gets wicked afraid of the dark when we go camping. This is her best friend when the sun goes down. It is super bright and lasts for a good while. Perfect for around camp.

Solid torch for every day use

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This fills a great gap in Petzl's line between their high end lamps like the Actik, and low-end lamps like the Tikka. 250 lumens at $39 retail is a great deal, and the battery life is a beast.

      Great General Purpose Headlamp

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

What's not to like? It's got a very basic and low-profile design. It's bright enough to serve it's intended function. It's comfortable enough that I've forgotten I'm even wearing it on several occasions (only to be teased for wearing a headlamp in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon... hah!). And at $40 it's a great value! 5 stars, for sure.

      Good Headlamp

i bought a couple of these as christmas presents for my brother and father in law. My brother just got a trailer and has been camping a ton so i knew this would come in handy. Great lighting, good fit/adjustments... hopefully long lasting

        Great Headlamp

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This is the perfect "stow and go" headlamp. Small and lightweight, stuff it in your bag and forget about it.

At least until it gets dark. Then bust this puppy out for a reliable and easy to use headlamp. Beam spread is great for lighting up a good chunk of the space immediately in front of you, but it does lack the focus to really punch out to distance. Brightness and color modes are all welcome features and work just as expected.

        Great light!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was skeptical at first of this headlamp because of the feel of the plastic housing. It seemed cheap and brittle. But after taking it to the field for three weeks both of them- as I had bought two- held up just fine; much better than expected. They got wet, beat around in my pockets, and stuffed into a ruck sack. Battery life is easily as described, thoroughly impressed. Really nice feature: you don't have to switch through all the lights to get to red, or red to white. It remembers what mode you were in, red or white, after shutting it off. Brightness settings are great. It is an area or loom light, not focused. So if you are trying to shine out a ways at a point it is not the light for you, but to thoroughly light up a room or campsite it is the light for it. Would buy again!

perfect for your car or weekend getaways

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This little guy is awesome to have in your glove box or in your car camping kit ! Its not the biggest or brightest out there but its small , light weight and easy to pack away which sometimes means just as much. I personally use it in my car for those late nights or early morning getting my gear together and have not found a single thing to criticize yet and i have been putting this baby to work for months now !

        Basic Headlamp

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought this headlamp mostly for camping and it works great. I've also used it on a few night hikes and it is plenty bright. This is a great, reasonably priced headlamp.

        "You light up my life"

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this for my boyfriend to replace his very old and well used off brand headlamp that he uses during fire season. He loves this one! He says it is very bright and the red light works perfectly in not blinding people. It is light and durable, does the job and fairly priced.

        Does the job

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First impressions it feels super cheap. The button isn't the smoothes but is easy to operate. It has three settings of brightness and a red light. The bright setting puts out a ton of light for the price point which is super nice.

        bought this as a gift

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought this headlamp as a gift for my dad, who's big on going on pre-work, break of dawn walks and jogs in the dark. He loves its brightness and low-profile design. He also loves the military print.
