Ruined a trip

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I had high hopes for these crampons for a backpacking adventure followed by a snow climb. After 20 miles of hiking, I switched my regular hiking boots for mountaineering boots and these crampons. They had seemed to fit well at home but once I started walking along a flat snow field they kept falling off. I tried adjusting the sizing to no avail. I have Lowa mountaineering boots and I’m not sure why but it got to a point that every 5-10 steps one would slide off the front groove. It was heartbreaking after such a long approach to have to call the trip as it wasn’t safe with crampons that kept falling off. Save yourself the disappointment and carry normal crampons. Of course it’s been over 30 days so I can’t return them. What a waste of over $100.
