    Decent screws

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These screws work great for setting up belays or TR anchors. I would necessarily recommend these for steep, technical climbs since there's no knob to spin. But for the price they are definitely work keeping one or two on your rack for general purposes.

    There are better options.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These screws are absolutely fine; they work well and the teeth bite and set into ice very easily. However, if you're planning to use these for technical ice climbing, definitely spend the extra money a screw with a proper crank like the Laser Speed screws. It's absolute worth the extra cost. As mentioned below, if you just need something for a glacial rescue kit they're fine, but otherwise you're much better off spending a little more on better screws.

    Meets the need

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Have this in my glacier rack. There are fancier faster turning models for more technical ice climbing, but having this piece for mostly anchor building and potential crack rescue this item works fine. I've spun it in the ice a few times and it works just fine. If you're looking for a lower-cost option for glacier kit this is a nice dependable option and I'm sure I'll have it for some time.

    Good ice screw

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The long sharp tips and the well designed threads make this a fantastic screw. The only thing missing is the nice handle that the Laser Speed has. So, if you're tight on money and need screws, you can't go wrong here.
