A sleek upgrade.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
After four years on battering the originals, my wife replaced the worn-out dogbones on a dozen Black Diamond Posiwire quickdraws with these. The 17cm Finesse slings provided not only a considerable facelift, but distinct weight savings and more versatility due to their length. The BD carabiners are a very, very snug fit in the String S webbing protection on the rope-side of the draws, but once you get them in, they're incredibly secure and a dream to clip. She'd recommend the swap to anyone.

Great Fit

I purchased five of these to replace the dog bones on my sport rack. They fit great with little Carabiner and large ones. They are a perfect replacement for my ultra light dog bones.

Great Dogbone
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Well, if you've ever used the Petzl Ange quickdraw, you know how awesome the carabiners and slings are. This is a basic piece and in time as I have to replace old dog bones, I will be buying many more due to their light weight, great price, and ease of use while clipping.

Straight to the point. Bought five of them. If you are looking for some light and powerfull sling I recommend you this. Just for the record on: the carabiner that goes to the rope they are nicely tight, you probable won't be able to put other thing than djinn or spirit from petzl... on the other side I put my WC Helium carabiner that has the best clipping I ever see. I feel my gear loves me and I love my gear.

Favorite Lightweight Dogbones
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
While they are a bit more expensive than other dogbones, I think they are worth it for the weight savings. Yeah it's not much in the grand scheme of things, but there's something sexy about going light minimal. As far as quality, these are top notch. Dyneema, stiching, and rubber keeper are all good to go. If you're looking for lightweight dogbones to complete your custom draws, get these. Contact me directly with other questions such as: - What gear do I need to start sport climbing? - What lightweight carabiners do you recommend? - What's your favorite rope? Ben

Spares?

Your car has a spare, so you should too! I got one of each size. I use the same biners that go in this sling/dogbone. This is helpful if I need to make a few extra quick draws. Or if one of my existing QD's gets roughed up, I can replace the sling.

Will these fit Wild Country Helium II carabiners? WC Helium biners have a thick nose, so I am wondering if it will fit through the bottom rubber piece.
