Fakir Crampon Carrying Bag

Your gear tends to function much better when it doesn't have a lot of holes punched in it, which is where the Petzl Fakir Crampon Carrying Bag comes in handy. Burly PU-coated nylon and mesh combine for a design that is durable and vented, so you aren't lugging around a bunch of melted Everest snow in addition to your spikes (unless you really want to).

Second Petzel Bag

I've used it several times

This bag is heavy duty. My old bag lasted a decade. Please note I didn't receive the yellow bag as pictured but an orange Petzl bag instead. Still a great bag.

durable crampon bag

It's a bit of a tight fit, but you can get almost any crampon in it, and the mesh seems much more durable compared to the BD crampon bags.

Highly recommend this bag

I've put it through the wringer

I use the Fakir bag to transport my BD Sabretooth Pro crampons in my duffel while travelling. It fits these crampons well- not too big, not too small - and provides great protection. It also seems to be very durable. What else can you ask?

So far, so good.

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just purchased this bag. It fits both of my BD Neve Pro crampons just fine. I do believe there should be enough room should I have to use the long center bars.

Nice compact bag

I've used it several times

I actually haven't used with my crampons yet, but fits Camp 390s just fine. As a toiletry case that's durable and looks outdoorsy, though, the fakir is almost unbeatable. Water-resistance base for wet counters, mesh top for quick drying and seeing whats inside.

This bag is slim but will fit most modern crampons if you fit it right. I like this a lot more than BD's crampon bag because the mesh is a lot sturdier than BD's. The mesh on the BD is more like loose string rather than solid mesh on the Fakir. It's durable. However, compared to BD's, this has fewer attachment points. If you're concerned with ease to attach it to your bag, then get the BD. There aren't many loops to hook this onto your bag but if you're like me, then you'll just strap it on. It's not a big deal. Good product.

Way too small

Could barely get 1 of my new grivel strap on crampons in the bag. Two is not close to being possible. What were they thinking??? It's going back.
