Dual Connect Adjust

Rappel off multi-pitch climbs, mountaineering routes, and canyons with extra help from Petzl's Dual Connect Adjust. The adjustable arm can pull you closer to the anchors or farther away as needed. Petzl designed the connectors to accommodate the Spirit Screw-Lock Carabiner, and the rubber retainer keeps the lanyard out of the way when you're clipping.

Great for Rappels

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Amir already stated the best aspects of this product in his review from October 2017. I encourage you to read that review. Personally, my favorite use of it is to fully weight test my rappel system (third hand included) before taking myself off the anchor. To make this PAS even quicker and easier to use, I put an auto-locking carabineer at the end of the adjustable strand. If you're debating between this and the connect adjust, I'd ask how often you rappel and if you extend it for a third hand (you should be). If the answer is often enough, I encourage you to go with this over the single strand connect adjust. After all, it's only a $10 difference. Plus, if you really end up hating the second strand, I guess you could cut it off.

Fast & Safe Multi-Pitch Rappels!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I borrowed a co-instructors single connect after climbing with him in City of Rocks and seeing how quick it was to attach and adjust to the anchor. I am a huge believer in extending my rappel with a third hand as a back-up and so I decided I needed the dual adjust. This allows me to have one system that is quick and easy to adjust depending on my anchor setup. On top of that, it is made of dynamic rope that means I don't have to worry about breaking a runner with a short fall off the anchor.

PAS that does it all

So convenient to have the adjustable locker and additional strand to your rappell device off your harness.

Don't listen to stubborn climbers!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This thing is wicked, and a huge improvement on on the PAS. After demoing the single connect adjust over on Petzl's walls a few times, I was smitten with the idea of a quick+ safe, connection to the anchor. Quick - clip it to the anchor, lock the biner, pull the tail - rotate forward to pay out slack Safe - Taped+Sewn joints are solid and easy to inspect, the rope is dynamic and wont explode if I fall a little like dynema will. This version has a rappel tail so I can set up my rappel device (ATS) and check double check the setup, and even gently weigh the setup by paying out slack. Rapping is my JAM, so excited to have one tool to do the job and do it with such grace! Thanks Petzl! Buy this or the single connect adjust and learn to use it!
