I think it is a great layer, the buttons, collar and cuffs are fantastic - I am a huge fan of wool flannels and this one is top notch. The wool is warmer than some other Pendletons I have owned. I really like the elbow reinforcements as well, the brown on gray looks so good. I am a 5'10, 150lbs, with very broad shoulders.- pretty much a 2-d rectangle. The cut of this layer is better suited to thicker body types in my opinion and is way too flowy for me at my midriff and chest to be flattering. It is very likely I should have got a medium instead, but I think the medium would too constricting of my range of motion if it shrunk even a tiny bit. I will probably keep this as a Christmas gift for my dad, who is around my height, but 20-30 lbs heavier.

You bought a size too large it sound like. I’m 6’2” 160 and wear a medium in Pendleton. These shirts are cut for work and resemble carhartt or Filson type sizing.

Good shirt

Had for about 2 weeks now, 5'11" 180lbs. Red plaid medium. Pleased to see the plaid is more subtle than pictures. Had to wash once before wearing because it was a bit itchy and rather stiff. Needless to say, do not machine dry. At the risk of sounding redundant, it is a nice shirt with a tight weave. Expecting it to last years with regular use.

This shirt rocks. Sizing is true. I'm 5'8" and 140 lbs and a small fits perfectly. Wool fabric is sturdy. I wear it on all days except hot days, 70+F. The suede elbow patches are super cool. I've had one shirt for over a year now and it has held up very well. The fabric can snag and rip bushwhacking, but the material holds thread well so sewing it back up is not a problem. In winter with a wool baselayer, this shirt is enough for most days except extremely cold or stormy days.

I really like the look of this shirt and it fits well. My initial impression is that the shirt was a little itchy the first time wearing it. I think I will just need to wash the shirt and wear it a bit to wear down those itchy fibers. I gave it 4 stars because it is a really nice looking shirt

When buying this I was a bit nervous about fit because I've tried Pendleton button downs before and never found one that worked, they run HUGE! I'm 170lbs at 5'8

Great Wool Shirt

High quality wool shirt. Not itchy, great fabric, beautiful plaid pattern (more subtle than shown in images). I am 5' 11", 175 lb, 44 in chest, 33.5" sleeves and the large is perfect. It is a bit longer than most shirts, but can still be worn untucked. My only complaint is the packaging: too many plastic fasteners used to fold the shirt in cardboard. The shirt looks nice in the bag, but takes a long time to liberate it for wear.

Super Awesome Pendleton

I got this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He is soooo stoked to have it... although, the sleeves are a little short so we may have to exchange it in for a larger size.
