You can tell right off the bat that this is a quality flannel. Awesome shirt for any occasion. I was worried that it would be itchy and uncomfortable but I was wrong, Super comfortable! Worth the money

Great quality flannel

Great fit and great quality flannel! It's made of thick, warm wool, perfect for late fall and winter. The fit is true to size, but I haven't washed it yet.

This is the 2nd Lodge shirt for my husband - I got this one for him as a gift. He loves loves loves it, those are his 2 go-to shirts for winter in Colorado. He loves the color, the warmth, the whole thing. Would buy a third. Its his favorite shirt. Runs tad big - got him a Medium instead of Large. It fits him great, not to big, not too snug.

I wrote a longer review of this and the Fitted Trail Shirt on that shirt's web page. Over all this makes a good substitute for a light fleece layer. I've worn it in temperatures from high-30s to mid-60s. At the lower temperatures it's a great mid-layer, underneath a jacket or windproof shell. Hiking under load in the 40s and 50s it's comfortable and not too hot by itself. Whenever I stopped I put on a softshell and was warm enough. The weave is pretty tight so it has some wind protection. It's too big around the gut for my taste, but no matter, it's for hiking and backpacking, not fashion, so it's not a major drawback. It does NOT fit like the picture on this web site. (For those pictures they usually pin the extra gut material behind the model to make it look clean and slim.) I'm 6 feet, 190 pounds, and the Large has enough room in the gut for a guy weighing 210 or 215. But the shoulders and sleeve length are good on me. The Fitted Trail Shirt is better in that regard and bunches up less if you tuck it in your trousers. I find it more versatile than a light fleece jacket because looks like any other shirt. You can wear it like that or as a shirt-jacket.

I bought this as a gift for my grandfather who lives in the mountains of Arizona in a cabin he and my grandmother built themselves. The Grand Canyon colorway is beautiful and received ooh's and ahh's when unwrapped. The shirt does run a bit large. Overall a very handsome and cozy shirt featuring the quality and classic mountain style expected from Pendleton.

The product (a wool pendleton lodge shirt) was as should be expected from a pendleton, AWESOME!! unfortunately for me, a manufacturer's mistake meant that the shirt didn't fit and was in line to be returned. Thanks to the wonderful folks at backcountry.com, it was as easy as mailing a letter. I would recommend this site to anyone... Thanks again
