A warm and hardy blanket when the weather gets nasty.

Hunker down in front of the fire with a glass of scotch and the Pendleton Camp Blanket when winter winds howl the arrival of a record-breaking blizzard. This hardy blanket combines virgin wool with just a hint of cotton for a soft hand feel sans itch. Wool naturally resists flames and moisture so fire-front snuggling won't result in a spark-pocked blanket, and a little spill doesn't necessitate a trip to the dry cleaners. This rugged blanket holds up winter after winter after winter for uninterrupted years of warmth, and it's made in the US. And when this blanket finally does give up the ghost, your pooch or feline friend will love having your worn-out blanket as their new pet bed.

    I love it already

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was on the line about spending so much for a blanket. After reading a lot of reviews about the longevity and durability of Pendletons I decided to take the leap and got one for myself and one for the wife. So far it seems worth it. Definitely high quality. VERY warm (probably not as good a a technical for more frigid/artic nights outside though). It does have a bit of wool scratch, but even out of the bag was softer than I expected. Only time will tell

    The Perfect Gift

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Always give this as a gift because I bought one for myself and loved it. I keep mine in the car and use it everywhere from picnics to camping and it never gets old.

    Perfect camp blanket

I love this blanket! It is soft to the touch and looks fantastic. It will last a lifetime and handle everything you can throw at it. It is amazing how warm and wind resistant it is. It is the perfect camp blanket.

      Super Pleased!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this blanket for one specific need - to protect the windshield of sidecar when it was folded into the tub. This blanket is a replacement for an el' cheapO that I picked up in my travels. I also wanted something thicker for my passengers to use as well. This blanket is outstanding! Great thickness and just enough fluff. I ended up using it as an extra blanket while camping (in addition to my sleeping bag because I like the weight). I was super cozy all night (low 30*). The colors are beautiful and it's not scratchy! It's WOOL. Some scratch is expected. I'm very happy w/this item and I'm a true Pendleton supporter now.

      The Perfect Blanket!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love love love this blanket! It's cozy and perfectly weighted to use as a throw on my bed and also snuggle under on the couch. Great accent piece as well! Looking forward to many many years of use out of it.

      Soft, perfect weight

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this as a gift for my dad, who writes: "The 80/20 wool/cotton blend has a soft feel and the weight is neither too heavy nor too light. I love the earth color and the multicolor stripes on the long side. The blanket is niceIy and tightly hemmed on the edges with the same color thread as the blanket. I used it last week sleeping on a canvas cot in a cool room and it was just the right weight for the coldest part of the night. I learned the first night though that on a cot you need insulation below as well as above. Next night I folded another wool blanket to make more of a mattress feel and insulate my underside."

      Great Blanket

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

A friend got a Camp blanket recently and loves it. He loves the Lake color and is glad he got it in the queen size. He's looking forward to having it for future adventures, especially as it breaks in and gets softer.

      Meh.

The craftsmanship and looks of this blanket are very nice. But I was hoping for something a bit softer. It definitely has the itch factor I think of when picturing a wool saddle blanket. I guess I was hoping for a feel more like merino.

        Pendleton Camp Blanket

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love this blanket, I have 2, one in my living room & one in my camper van. If you are thinking this is going to keep you warm on a cold night camping, you will be disappointed, but if you are bundled up, wrapping up in one of these is really nice. Be careful when you wash it though - running it through the wash will destory it.

        wouldn't recommend

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I ordered this blanket thinking it would replace my sleeping bag for moderate weather car camping trips. I've slept with this blanket for months while living in my car in many different layering arrangements. Basically once it gets under 55F at night it doesn't function as a primary source of warmth. I wanted to like this blanket because it is beautiful and big and wool. Yet this was not the case at all. I'm not one to usually write reviews but I would not recommend spending so much on a blanket that doesn't hold its own. it's also scratchy enough to warrant a liner blanket underneath for me.

I've camped out with this blanket below freezing many times in Colorado (along with other pieces of gear to keep me warm). It definitely wouldn't be suited as a standalone item keeping you warm in those conditions but for what it is it is amazing. Especially for the price point. Maybe you shouldn't expect so much living out of your car as your go to one stop shop for warmth. A car is like a freezer once it gets cold and windows peovide no insulation. A sleeping bag would probably suit your needs better as it will trap heat better. Wool blankets have been around for forever and they will be here hundreds of years from now. Disregard this review.

        Great blanket

The Pendleton camp blanket is a wicked versatile blanket which can easily go from inside to outside. You can dress it up over a sofa, or it makes a great campfire and picnic blanket. It's expensive, but beautifully crafted.

          Where's the cord?

Seriously, this thing feels like it's kicking off it's own heat! We bought two of these to replace some of our cotton bedding and it was one of the best camping gear choices we've ever made. The natural fibers don't retain moisture, don't hold odor, but retain body heat incredibly well. Worth every penny!

            Wedding Gift

            • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased this as a wedding gift for a good friend, because who doesn't love gifting items that will be handed down to future generations. The blanket is soft, and warm, and the Hemrich Stripe colorway is even better in person. I get a text every time they put it to good use on their boat!

            Pendleton Camp Blanket

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times
            • Fit: True to size

Gorgeous blanket. It's called the camp blanket, but it's so nice I don't want to take it from my living room. For watching movies or an extra layer of warmth on a cold night, this is my go-to blanket.

            Have cold feet?

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
            • Fit: True to size
            • Height: 5'2"
            • Weight: 100lbs

I don't just mean that just figuratively. I struggle with not being able to sleep at night during the cold winter months because my feet are as cold as ice. I put this blanket in between my sheet and my comforter, for more warmth. I haven't had to deal with another night with cold feet! It is amazing. I would say if you don't toss and turn too much this blanket is big enough for a full sized bed. I think it would be too small for a queen. (This was my initial concern about not purchasing a bigger wool blanket) You can also take it camping and sit comfortably in your tent or hammock. I would recommend everyone getting a Pendleton blanket, not only do they look amazing but they keep you warm on the coldest nights.

            Bomb Blanket

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
            • Fit: True to size
            • Size Bought: Queen
            • Height: 5'8"
            • Weight: 150lbs

I bought this for my fiance and I'll be honest, I was a little baffled at why a blanket would be so pricey, but after getting it I can see the quality is definitely there. The designs they have are also beautiful and we use it as a throw on our couch in the living room. Bottom line is that it's well constructed, looks great, and keeps you warm on cold winter nights.
