Select Pursuit Short
Just because you don't want anything to do with bib shorts doesn't mean you don't want quality shorts. As such, Pearl Izumi offers its Women's Select Pursuit Shorts as a high quality addition to your cycling wardrobe. The rely on Pearl Izumi's Select Transfer Dry fabric to rapidly wick moisture away from your skin as you ride, and the addition of Lycra elastane fibers in the fabric establishes a close, almost second-skin fit around your legs, so you won't have to worry about bunching fabric shifting around as you stand on a punchy climb or shift position during long drags on flat country roads.
You can depend on the Select Pursuit 1:1 Chamois to keep you supported. The soft, four-way stretch top layer moves with you as you pedal, while plush, high-density foam promises to dull the harshness of the saddle as you rack up the miles. At the hems, silicone grippers hold the legs in place, while a wide waistband sits comfortably against your skin without any oppressive pinching.

Reviewing under my husband's sign-on... I have only ridden about 200 miles so far, so I don't have a ton of experience on the road or indoor. These were on sale and matched a jersey I had, so I wanted to try them out. I have had a really hard time with my sit bones hurting, but I know that's normal for a new rider. I did my first 20+ mile ride in them and my seat felt the best it's felt yet! I am back to purchase another pair since they worked so well for me. As for the other review that mentioned there were no stripes. The ones I received were also pink in the same area, but just a solid triangle of screaming pink. They do also seem longer than 8 inches, but I don't mind. More importantly, they fit as expected around my waist.

Nice shorts but....
- Fit:
- True to size
I just got them in the mail today, they are a little longer than expected, almost to the knee. The screaming pink it’s just pink no stripes like it shows on the picture.

Cut not for everyone
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
5'5", 128 lbs, athletic build. I bought these mainly for indoor cycling. Overall fit is good but they are cut low and sat too far down below my waist to be comfortable. they felt as if they were slipping down my hips.

Got these for my Mom as a gift, and she loves them. She rides a few days a week 20-30 miles and said they are perfect for that. Only complaint was that the grippers weren't quite as sticky as other Pearl Izumi's. She enjoyed the fit and longer length as well.
