Just Below the Knee.
Here at Competitive Cyclist, we would much rather wear our kneewarmers connected to our cycling bottoms and not as an added accessory. The dreaded sagging warmer is always a pain and we tend to get irritated on our thighs when we have two fabrics rubbing against our saddle several thousand times during the course of a ride. If you are looking for some bottoms that will keep your knees warm and full on tights are a little overboard, have a look at Pearl Izumi's Men's Pro Escape Thermal 3/4 Tights. The knickers are designed to excel in temps around 45- to 55-degrees Fahrenheit and will keep you comfortable in the mixed conditions that we so often see during the spring and fall with their over-the-knee coverage. Thermal Fleece with water-shedding PI Dry technology maintains warmth if you hit some precipitation on your journey. To keep from overheating, the upper bib construction utilizes Pearl's Transfer fabric for comfort and wicking abilities. Raw edge construction on leg opening and bib upper keep the garment in place without digging into you skin. A good chamois is cornerstone to any good cycling bottom and Pearl includes the excellent PRO Escape 1:1 chamois with floating top sheet design and we can attest to its wonderful comfort. BioViz elements reflect light for nighttime visibility.

- Q & A
Quite comfortable on winter rides
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I bought these as a gift for a friend. He totally digs them, and is happy that he can finally get some winter miles in. I'm going to grab a pair for myself.
Wore these today in the 40âs and they were extremely comfortable. The PRO thermal fabric is very soft and not bulky. The chamois is very nice too. Highly recommend for those cold days that you donât need full length legs.
Nice Bib Tights
I haven't had a chance to ride these in the cold yet, but fit is on par with items in the same line, quality seems nice, and I think the insulation will work nicely!
