Changing seasons and falling temperatures can wreak havoc on a training program unless your wardrobe includes items such as Pearl Izumi's Men's P.R.O. Pursuit Cycling Bib Tights. Made with soft, warm, triple-layer Softshell panels, these tights fend off wind and water to keep you comfortable through inclement weather. Thermal fabric across the upper and down the back of the legs provides freedom of movement through the pedal stroke without sacrificing warmth, and light softshell paneling on the lower legs protects from unexpected splashing and tire spray.
Pearl Izumi includes its P.R.O. Pursuit 1:1 Chamois with a high density foam interior surrounded by breathable foam to provide supportive cushioning across riding positions. A perforated backing fabric and smooth, stretchy top layer provide breathability and comfort on even the warmest days. At the hems, raw edges on the bib straps make for comfortable layering while elastic cuffs hold the tights securely in place and tuck neatly under your favorite shoe covers.

- Q & A
Best Chamois but tight fit for tall guy
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
It's a 26° day in New York, these are warm enough that you only feel a little cool on your legs. While I'd say that a full windstopper bib is probably warmer, this gets the job done with more comfort and flexability. It's a very tight fit, as I assume the pursuit line is supposed to be, and I wonder if the straps should have been a little longer? If I were any taller, I think I would have to move up to the XL.
I haven't tried these in inclement weather yet, but I will update this once I do. The softshell over the knees and quads is great and gives that extra little boost of warmth, but again, it's warm enough- if you are not a fan of feeling a little chilly when you ride, you may want a warmer set of tights. I'd say P.I.'s Elite Therminal tights/bib tights are a little warmer Overall, I like the fit.
The stand out feature is the 1:1 Chamois. I've used gear by several other brands at their high end level, pearl izumi's shorts and tights at the attack and elite levels, and nothing has compared to this. It truly feels as if you are simply gliding on the most comfortable seat ever. There are no seams or pressure points that I felt on my 16 miles this morning, and I can foresee sitting in the saddle for some long rides in the future.
The only problem is that I have a feeling I'll wear these out fast because they're so darn comfortable I won't want to switch them out to give them a rest and another pair a chance. I highly recommend them.
