P.R.O. AmFIB Lobster Glove
Everybody likes having warm fingers, and most people like lobster, so it stands to reason that most people will also be fans of the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. AmFib Lobster Cycling Gloves. Pearl updates this classic style by constructing it from DWR-coated P.R.O. Softshell, which repels water while maintaining exceptional breathability, and stuffing it full of low-bulk Primaloft Gold synthetic insulation. The insulation and soft fleece lining will stay warm even if they get wet, while the durable Clarino palm is flexible but abrasion resistant. By using the lobster-claw design, Pearl made this version warmer than the classic AmFib, too. The hook-and-loop cuff closure keeps heat in and water out, and the soft microfleece thumb panel provides a perfect surface for nose and goggle wiping.
- Winter gloves to help keep you on the road and off the trainer
- Softshell repels rain, snow, and blocks chilling wind
- Primaloft Gold insulation is low-bulk but big on warmth
- Synthetic palm ensures durability and grip
- Stays breathable to prevent a clammy chill
- Thumb wipe keeps things tidy without abrasion
- Hook-and-loop closure battens down the hatches
- Vendor recommended for 20 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit

Really happy with the performance of this glove. Have used them down to 25° now and my hands were the warmest part of my body. Almost too warm for temps out of the 30’s but that’s the point. My hand is 8” around the palm and I purchased mediums and they fit very well. The “lobster” fit takes a minute to get used to but works really well to allow shifting/braking while keeping your fingers warm together. Nice soft material on the thumbs to wipe glasses and your face I would highly recommend these for cold weather riding

Way better than expected.
First pair of lobster gloves, and they take some getting used to but that is more user issue than design so I couldn't knock them for that. I have some really nice Gore gloves I used but anything colder than 35 those start to get chilly so I figured I would just use some ski gloves. The fingers would get tight and chilly below 30 being individually wrapped, so I thought I would try these. Wow have these met expectations. I have taken these out without any liners in the low 20's and my hands are so warm and comfy. Really anything over 35 and I find these are too warm. Love these gloves. Wish I would have gotten the screaming yellows, but the blacks were on sale when I purchased them. But these are significantly warmer than regular gloves, and ski gloves that are not mitten style. Also of note, size these up. I usually use XL gloves in everything, from ski gloves, my biking gloves, and hospital gloves (where I work) and I had to return the XLs and get the XXLs.

Bought these as a gift for my friend, he has used them on one long ride, but lives in Michigan and cannot battle the snow. Overall he is impressed and his hands stayed warm. He also said fits true to size.

High Expectations, Fair Execution
Had a well used Trek pair that were worn out so was excited to try these. They are light...perhaps too light. On rides near freezing these are barely warm enough. They need more insulation

Got these for my dad, he seems to like them: I regularly commute 60 mins each way in weather with temperature from 20s to the 30s during the winter. These gloves offer warmth, protection from elements and breathability. They are also lightweight and the fingers bend easy for helmet and glasses adjustments/removal. The size is accurate. The glove wrist cuff is designed for a winter cycling jacket and i wear the gloves on the outside of the jacket cuff. The velcro on the gloves gives a good lock and holds. Very happy with these gloves so far and would recommend them.

Outstanding Winter Riding Gloves
I have worn these down into low teen temps and my hands have stayed completely warm. By far the best piece of cold weather gear I own. Highly recommend.

I bought these gloves last season and since then the amount of winter bike gloves and apparel choices have grown considerably. I think there are better options out there. These fit pretty tight around the wrists so taking them off and putting them back on can be a process. If you haven't ridden lobster claw gloves before there is a learning curve to get comfortable in your position. The main problem I had with these gloves is, there's no padding on the palm and I've never owned a pair of cycling gloves that didn't offer that.

Are the two fingers in each section separated inside? Are the fingers together, without a barrier in between? I'm looking for ones that allow two fingers to touch without anything in between.

The two fingers in each section touch (index and middle) and (ring and pinky). The thumb is obviously separate but stays warm. My gloves are a few years old but I can't imagine Pearl changing the design.
