I have to admit that I was disappointed when I first put them on. I have had past issues with carpal tunnel syndrome and my preference had always been for gloves with very thick gel inserts. In these the gel was so thin that I wondered why they bothered. But after a three hour ride, I found that actually work very well. In fact much better than I expected. There is just enough gel to absorb vibrations and they are thin and supple enough to allow a natural grip on the bars. Now I’m rethinking my preference for thick pads. I’m wondering if the thicker pads causing more pressure points on the palm. I purchased a pair of Giro Stradedure Supergel gloves with thicker pads at the same time. They are fine but the Pearl Izumi Elites are more comfortable. Cons: They are quite snug and not easy to remove in the middle or end of a ride. But I would not size up because the pads might not align with the correct place on the palms. Another ding is that the Velcro wrist strips can fold over onto the top of the glove which may lead to tearing at some point. Not sure why these even have Velcro. The gloves are snug enough to make the Velcro redundant. I would definitely buy these again.

- I returned this product before using it

Decent glove, fits a little small, so I'd bump up by one size... Also, the inside seams dont's eem to be cleaned up and have more little annoying itchy/chafe spots than I liked. But for $30, what can you expect. I returned them for a another product I liked more.
