Barrier Skull Cap
Gearing up for cold-weather riding can be something of a chore, but we've found those quiet stretches of snowy road on a sunny November afternoon to be some of the most rewarding. While simple in stature, the Pearl Izumi Barrier Skull Cap is a crucial piece of gear that protects your exposed head from the chilly winds and light moisture you'll likely encounter while enjoying those peaceful winter vistas.
The Barrier Skull Cap is like Pearl Izumi's Thermal Skull Cap in that its ergonomic fit layers comfortably under your helmet. It also shares the Thermal model's ability to wick away moisture and insulate your head. The difference lies in the front panel, where the Barrier Cap incorporates Pearl's Barrier shell to block the wind on your head's leading edge.
The Barrier Skull Cap is finished with a ponytail port to accommodate a ponytail or the party end of a Karpets-esque mullet. The port routes long hair without interfering with helmet retention dials, so the cap's layer-friendly fit isn't compromised because of long hair. Reflective elements round the cap off for an added does of low-light visibility.
- A winter skull cap for cold-weather cycling
- Barrier shell blocks wind on forehead
- Thermal Dry material manages moisture and insulates
- Ponytail port routes long hair past helmet fit dial
- Reflective elements for safety in low-light conditions
- Item #PLZ00FO

Good beanie if your a toddler!
Read the reviews before purchasing this beanie, but thought i t might fit my wife since she has a small head....wrong! To bad the sizing is so off. Its hard to find cycling beanies with pony tail ports. Needless to say it was was returned.

It's too bad because PI redisigned what used to be one of the benchmark thermal caps. So, try the Windstopper Thermo Beanie by Gore Wear. It looks like it covers the ears.
