The coffee table book for climbers.

You and your climber friends will drool over Patagonia's Yosemite In the Sixties Hardcover Book for ages. Inspired by Ansel Adams, Glen Denny mastered black-and-white photographs of Yosemite's most beautiful walls and the pioneers who first ascended them. Also included with these stunning images are essays about the consciousness of climbers, the culture of camp 4, and historical first ascents written by Patagonia's founder Yvon Chouinard, American historian Kevin Starr, and legendary climber Steve Roper.

    Coffee Table Beauty

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

As the other reviewers said, this book is great for the coffee table. I bought it for my climber girl and her new apartment. She loves to flip through it and notice new details/pics. The pics are pretty high quality and the book is large.

    Great gift!

I got this for my pops, who has spent a lot of time climbing Yosemite back in the day. He absolutely loves it. The pictures are high quality, and help tell a story. Great book to leave out on the coffee table and flip through when you have a spare moment!
