    Mixed conditions.

When your pursuit of clean lines takes you everywhere from British Columbia to Hokkaido, you need gear that will stand up to a global range of snow conditions. Fitted with a three-layer Gore-Tex shell and a stout 70D face fabric, the Patagonia Women's Untracked Jacket delivers dependable service whether you're getting the goods via chair or skintrack. On top of a helmet-compatible hood and underarm ventilation zips, the jacket is also equipped with a powder skirt to seal out chest-deep snow and a brushed backer for an extra dose of warmth. Patagonia lengthened and slimmed out the silhouette from previous years, equipping the jacket to stay closer to your body when you're chasing deep, untouched lines. Plus, it made adjusting the powder skirt easier than ever, updating the design to cinch down in the deep stuff or stay out of the way when you're lapping groomers for the afternoon.

    • Lightweight shell adapts to wet, windy, or bluebird days
    • Breathable Gore-Tex membrane keeps you dry all day
    • Adjustable powder skirt lies flat when not in use
    • Modern silhouette with slimmer fit and longer hemline
    • Helmet-compatible hood for warmth on storm days
    • Item #PAT01M9

    Great shell!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: S
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 135lbs

This is some top of the line quality construction, fabric and details. The fit is great- a little big, but perfect if you're wearing a lot of layers. The fabric is phenomenal and has a really pretty texture up close. The zippers are great (with teeth that don't separate like some zippers), the pass pocket on the arm is great so you don't have to smear yourself of the pass sensors. The collar in the front comes up nice and high, the cuffs can fit around a pair of gloves nicely. I LOVE the length too. It covers my butt entirely which is great for all the sitting and falling, and also makes a nice silhouette. It has pretty good interior pockets, although I wish the phone pocket was closer to my stomach so it'd stay warmer, so I normally put my phone in whatever insulating layer I'm wearing instead. As another review said, its bomber quality and lasts forever, and if it doesn't it comes with the Patagonia Ironclad guarantee, so if stuff breaks, they'll help you out.

    Also, ...Goretex.

*if there was one improvement I could have I would make the powder skirt removable. I don't usually keep it buttoned, as the coat is long enough to keep the snow out of my pants (Patagnoia Snowbelles) already.

    You won't be disappointed!

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I purchased this jacket, unsure if getting an uninsulated coat for skiing was a good idea because I HATE being cold. The Untracked was the right choice! I purchased a size up so I could layer as much as needed, and it was perfect - the cut keeps it from being bulky but gives me the room I need for 2-4 layers. The color is great so friends can easily find you at the bottom of the mountain. The pockets are convenient and have room for anything you might need for a full day of skiing. The only minor drawback is that the zippers are stiff and more difficult to zip/unzip than I'd like, especially with mittens on, so I had to pull over at the top of the lift to adjust venting rather than taking care of it on the ride up the mountain. But I'm wondering if this is the payoff from them being hurricane -proof seals on this weatherproof jacket???

This jacket is impressive in the protection it provides from the elements. I took it up the mountain for a couple days and got hit with a variety of conditions. From 20 degrees, snowing and gusts of 50mph winds, to 30 degrees and sunny, this jacket kept me comfortable and dry. The hood easily fit over my helmet without restricting visibility and the front zipped up to just under my nose for additional protection from windburn when it was blowing.

I'd say that I'd buy this jacket again, however I think this one is going to outlast me!

    You won't be disappointed!

Just like any Patagonia product.. excellent craftsmanship, fits well, last forever and a bit pricey.. Anyways, these are bomb proof and probably I will hand these down to my grandchildren one day.
