Zipper sticks and the jacket wets out

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
Large
Height:
6' 2"
Weight:

Works great as a windbreaker, but during any serious downpour the jacket just soaks up the rain. On top of that the "waterproofing flaps" meant to keep water from getting through the zipper constantly get stuck in said zipper. Only plus is i guess it pack's down pretty well for travel... Idk why i didn't return it right away an used it the past 3 years

Wets out almost immediately

I bought this a few years ago, and while it worked well as a windbreaker, it wetted out on every single serious shower that it's been through. This is the case even when it was brand new, so much so that I contacted Patagonia for a warranty claim. I never wear it anymore and replaced it with the Marmot Minimalist jacket, which has been bombproof.
