I bought an XL (Brown) and a 2XL(Blue). The XL was tight in the arms and shoulders, so I soaked it in water and put it on and stretched it. I actually like it now, it wears like a suede or light-leather shirt but breathes real well. The 2XL fits me perfectly. It's not a slim fit like most of Patagonia stuff is, which is what I need. Room for my belly. I bought these moleskins to wear under my leather jacket for motorcycling in cooler weather, and to wear it over a T shirt for Summer because this shirt provides a decent level of protection against road rash (I imagine). It is probably better than denim in that regard. I love everything about this shirt. (I am 6', 250Lbs)

Disappointed

I purchased this shirt because I've had good experiences with Patagonia products in the past -- only to be disappointed. I've worn moleskin pants and shirts before, and this material didn't strike me as moleskin--more like an ordinary chamois shirt. Nothing special about it, and it wasn't worth even the sale price. Also, the shirt didn't fit. Shirts from even high-end retailers these days are often too narrow in the arms, and this one was no exception; the effect is that the material pinches at the elbows when you bend your arms. Patagonia has slipped, in my estimation, all so that they could save a dime's worth of material out of the shirt. Other high-end retailers of men's shirts are doing this too, I notice--this is the fourth shirt I've bought in the last couple year with sleeves too narrow. So I sent this one back. Exasperating. And expensive--it cost me $6 in return postage to look at this shirt.

Maybe it’s you, not the retailer. I purchased this shirt and it fit me well. You can’t expect the product to fit every body type / size. If they changed it to fit you better, it would probably fit me worse... have an open mind once in a while eh?

What a great shirt-jacket. Cut is ideal to wear as a jacket not tucked in. Very thick, dense and warm. Blocks the wind very well. It's not quite as soft as the Filson, but much heavier and thicker and half the price! I'm a stocky 5' 10" 217 lbs with a 34 inch waist. Large fits fine but a little snug through the arms and shoulders. I should have ordered a XL but then the sleeves would have been to long. Great value, similar shirts are in the $200 range.
