Stretch Nano Storm Insulated Jacket

Built to block the blowing winds and cold temps on long alpine climbs, the Patagonia Men's Stretch Nano Storm Insulated Jacket combines a durable, waterproof material with performance insulation. Constructed with a H2No Performance Standard shell, this jacket provides protection from wind and precipitation, while FullRange insulation warms and stretches to keep you comfortable without restricting your range of motion. The highly breathable liner helps move moisture away from your body, keeping you dry and comfortable while you move.

In addition to the material's stretch, the Stretch Nano Storm Insulated Jacket is designed with an articulated pattern and seamless shoulder design for enhanced ease of movement. Two-way pit zips provide customized ventilation. The helmet-compatible hood features a two-way adjustable cord-lock system for easy use with gloved hands, and the adjustable hem helps seal out cold whether you're just starting an ascent or pushing for the summit.

This jacket was great for an around town jacket. The material is durable and I loved the dull black color. I got the small size and wish i would've gone with a medium or large.

This jacket is the best-insulating jacket for its weight I have ever worn. The insulation is more than I expected from the weight initially, but it performed well. The fit was spot-on and the functions of the jacket itself are well thought out. I used this jacket around town in the snow and I used it on the river while fishing (also in the snow). The outer shell of this coat help up well in a relatively heavy snow and stayed dry for hours. I wouldn't use this as the jacket for the absolutely coldest days, but with one mid-weight layer underneath would make this the perfect winter doat for mountain living.

This is the perfect all-around jacket. I'm able to wear this around town in the cold and am kept warm, I hike and am kept warm (but not too warm because of the breathability), and most of all, I was kept looking good. This is an outdoors jacket meant for people that care about style/fashion. I couldn't recommend this jacket more for whatever you're using it for. This is the jacket for you.

Before putting this jacket on I can say with confidence that I have never tried on anything quite like the Stretch Nano Storm (SNS). On the inside you have an incredibly soft layer of Nylon that makes you want to wear this jacket all the time with only a short sleeve. Well with this jacket, you can. The SNS kept me plenty warm in weather up to 20 degrees with nothing but a teeshirt. One of my favorite features of this jacket is the interior pocket system. Having two easy access pockets that can easily store gloves, wallet, keys, or dog treats in a flash is ideal for those who like to have it all right there. When the wind came a howlin this jacket held up extremely well, however this is where I dock my star. Not because the wind protection ability (which is fantastic), but because of the difficulty zipping the zipper fully over my face with a single hand, from neck to nose. This may sound nitpicky, however, you might find yourself in a situation where you being harassed by the tradewinds with one hand to zip up your collar while the other remains trapped by necessity and the zipper snags leaving your face exposed to the wrath of mother nature. I could of went with the XL just to get some extra length on the sleeves and shoulders but the stretch material is so comfortable that I barley noticed the slightly too small fit (this is my fault though). The chest pockets not only add style but add a large amount of packing room into the jacket. I haven't used the exterior side pockets to warm my hands but they too have a bunch of packing room. The hood on this jacket is a perfect extension of the jacket's warmth and the nylon comfort material. Lastly, this jacket is the perfect weight. Durable but stow-able. An SNS could easily be any mountain dweller's take everywhere jacket.

I usually don't write reviews but this jacket deservest it. The stretch nano strorm jacket has been in my quiver for the last 3 years. I absolutely love the jacket, and bought it in orange i think right after it came out. Its super durable and i've used it for cold weather climbing, biking, and hiking. The pit zips make this jacket better than others, as do the duel chest pockets. Its basically the perfect jacket. I sometimes wear it under a shell skiing too. I washed it with nicwax recently and now its back to just about as good of repellency as when i bought it, if not better. This jacket has been in the mud, rain, snow, dirt, has been tossed all over and holds up like a champ. It is the best jacket i've ever bought and I think its one of the most underrated Patagonia jackets on their lineup.
