    A step towards fame.

Since Patagonia created a classic with the regular Duck Pants, it decided to make a trimmer version in the Men's Straight Fit Duck Pants. They still have the same legendary style crafted from organic cotton, but with a modern slim fit. They feature side, coin, and back welt pockets, belt loops at the waist, and a zip fly with a button closure.

Wearing them as we speak! Quality pair of pants here. I have to admit that I have been told time and time again that I have chicken legs so the fit of these pants works for me. If you're a slimmer dude these will be a staple in your wardrobe for years.

    Organic cotton stains

Very comfortable fit and light breathable texture. Forge grey is staining badly, disgusting pinkish color makes them unwearable in public.

    slim pickens

Nicely made pants, the fabric was thinner than I was hoping but seems durable enough and of good quality. Im a thin 6-2, i have no butt to speak of, but fairly athletic calves and thighs. I generally have trouble finding pants that aren't way too baggy, I found the fit on these to be too slim though-not conducive to hiking or climbing or working. probably very good for manicuring mountain man beards in manhattan high rises, sipping beverages, and looking at web videos about working.
probably im getting old, and they most likely nailed the fit on these, they do call them slim fit....nice pants though

These pants fit well in the waist and lower legs but fit me like leggings in the thighs and butt. If you do squats they probably won't fit you too well. Too bad because I liked the material and color.

Patagonia needs to make a style in between the regular fit (too baggy in the calf area) and this one.

    • Fit: True to size

These pants fit on the slim side so take that into consideration. The material seems to be very durable and has the feel of carhartt bibs but not as thick. Great pant for beating through the woods after grouse or hanging by the fire with whiskey in hand

    Great all-around pair of pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Size Bought: 32/reg

I've always wanted to wear patagonia pants (and shirts for that matter) but they've always swallowed me whole until these. These bridge the gap between a carhartt-esque work pant and a pair of khakis you could tuck a shirt into if need be. They're slim and flattering but they're not restrictive and don't taper all the way to the cuff like "skinny jean" style pants so they still look presentable around bosses whose blood pressure goes up every time they hear the word "millennials" .
My only nitpick is that they wrinkle pretty easily.
I'm typically a 31x33 and the 32 regular fits well.

    Good Fit

Solid fitting cotton pant. Can be classy or professional when needed or just a great pair to lounge around a camp fire in your back yard.

im 6'4, 200#s... i normally wear a 35 or 36 inch inseam but decided to give the Long version a try. These actually measure out at 34.5 in length. While i do still prefer a bit longer, these work for me. Theyre not snug, just a tad loose on my legs and im a habitual long distance runner so my legs tend to be larger than most (point of reference, patagonias jeans are tight around my thigh and calves). I really like the material of these... its got a sort of a canvas look to me and feels like its pretty tough, but i wear it as work Kackis with a polo or a nice shirt and I think they work pretty well.

Great updated fit for the Duck Pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been wearing the Patagonia Straight Fit Duck pant for a couple weeks now and I really like the updated fit. While the regular fit duck pants are still available, I went with Patagonia's new straight fit, as I have been wearing the Patagonia Denim in the straight fit and liked the more tailored cut. Patagonia's straight fit is by no means

Fit severely different from regular Duck

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 32/Reg

I love the original fit Duck Pants and wear a 32/Reg. I though I would try this slimmer fit as the regulars have a little bagginess on my frame. I could not even pull on these 32/Reg slim/straight Duck Pants. The sizing is so different, I don't even know how to describe it. The usual Patagonia quality was in the construction, just bad sizing. Anyway, I'll gladly stick with 5-star original Duck Pants for my body (5'9", 165lbs, medium build). I will also echo another reviewer's comment that these seem almost like skinny-jeans. So if that is not your style, perhaps beware.

    Narrow legs

I have several Patagonia pants. The waist in these are fine, but the pant legs fit almost like skinny jeans.

These fit just like a levis 514

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 36 Short (36x30)

So, I am 5'8 and 210lbs or so. Usually wear 36x30 in Levis 514 and have the Carhartt 5 pocket 12oz Duck pants in 36x30 too but those relaxed fit Carhartts are still kinda big. These Patagonia are soft and broken in Duck Canvas but at just 8oz or so feel like you are wearing sweat pants. They do fit me good for 1 hour but loosen up a bit as I break them in. They come out of the dryer fitting perfect but after the day is over they do stretch. Exactly the same as high end Seven or Buffalo jeans where you notice the stretch. This is good for me of course.

Must purchase these. They are great for working and putting up a fence to taking the wife out for dinner since they look like slacks.
