I spent A LOT of time and money researching and buying (and returning) parkas. I finally decided on this one. It is a great fit, super warm, has a good weight to it, but not too heavy. I tried the 3 in 1 parka and I found it to be so heavy and the zip-in liner annoying. I love that this coat is one piece and the neck comes up very high to block the wind. I have no complaints so far.

Love this coat!

I absolutely love this Patagonia coat! Waterproof, warm, well-made! I am 5’5” tall, 118 lbs. and the small fits perfectly. Bought the blue which is more of a teal-blue. The hood is the perfect size - not too large that you have to hold it above your eyes and not so small that it doesn’t provide adequate coverage - and no ugly fake fur trim! The zipper closure has snaps instead of Velcro, and the coat adjusts at the waist & cuffs. I hate puffer coats which add pounds - this coat is a trim style yet very warm. Perfect for New England winters! If you are currently wearing a wool coat, you will notice that this Stormdrift coat has a stiffer feel. Not uncomfortable - just a more sturdy feel to it. It also has secure zippered pockets on the sides. Well worth the money!

    BEST all-around Parka!

After much research, consulting with the Gearheads, and trying on a dozen jackets, I chose this parka one year ago, and I haven't looked back! I have Raynaud's and finding gear that keeps you warm without looking like you're wearing a zillion things has been challenging. This certainly has not failed me yet in all conditions - wind, snow, rain, cold temperatures, and mixtures of the like!

While it's a little on the roomier side, I enjoy being able to layer underneath it. It is very flattering on any shape and adjustable with snaps. By itself, the coat is extremely warm and lives up to it's h2oNo label. As a coach, I can stand out in the pouring rain coaching knowing I will stay 100% dry even after 5-hours. Impressed yet? The parka has also served as a more casual dress coat, but doesn't appear as if you're showing up in a ski jacket.

Aside from the great warmth and protective factor of the parka, it also boasts many pockets! There is the ever handy wallet pocket inside your jacket on the right chest (similar to their nano puff vests) and three deep outside pockets.

    Bottom line: HIGHLY recommended!
