Nice shirt, but a little too lightweight

Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    Fit:Runs large
    Size BoughtMedium
    Height6` 1"
    Weight190 lbs

I like the design, but wish the fabric was a bit more substantial. As it is, it gets caught up against your skin or undershirt very easily, producing awkward wrinkles. The fit is a bit quirky. It runs a bit large (judging based only before washing), but moreso in the length than the girth. Medium is perfect length on me but too tight in torso. I think my only option will be to order my normal size (L) and have the length hemmed.

    Pretty good shirt

Overall I like these shirts, but something about the collar always bothers me a little(A little floppy maybe). Very soft and comfortable. Nice colors.

Thanks so much for this review and for contributing to our community, Brian!

I bought this shirt in Rugby Micro/Dolomite Blue and have been really pleased with it so far. It's soft and comfortable, fits perfectly, and is great for those casual occasions that might require something nicer than a t-shirt. I plan on buying this in another color, and highly recommend it!

This polo is very comfortable-- made of a softer, more jersey feel fabric vs other Patagonia polos. I like the understated style and added chest pocket. Fit is great.

    Is Backcountry selling factory seconds?

This is the third squeaky clean shirt that I have purchased and this one had sleeves significantly shorter and more flared out on the side. Not sure why fit on this one was so different. Had to return and found the return process completely annoying (no label provided , difficult to print/download, etc)

Hey Timothy, We do not sell factory seconds. Oftentimes garments are cut 100 at a time and on some occasions have some slight differences. I would be happy to ship you out a new polo and reimburse your prepaid UPS return label cost. I'm incredibly sorry about your experience with the return process. We don't send out return labels and order receipts with our orders to save waste in the shipping process. I sent an email to your inbox with more instructions about the online process and please reach out to me directly if you have any difficulties in the future.

    Love the fit and comfort

Super cool, soft, comfortable, and was able to get a great deal on it! Would buy another shirt like this in a heartbeat.

At seventy feet tall - did you feel the large had enough length or would you size up to an XL?

    Fit Great, Comfortable Fabric

I bought one of these years ago. It's in great shape and I still wear it. I was in the market for some new polos and decided to try a couple more (in Spiced Coral and Gem Green). They fit great, there's a variety of styles to choose from, and the fabric is comfortable.

    Comfortable, except for the sleeves

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

really want to love this shirt, great material. Coral color is on point, but the sleeves cut seems to always get twisted up on me.

    Pretty good

This is a decent polo shirt but I prefer the Patagonia daily tri blend polo shirt.

    Great anytime gear

Perfect collared shirts for casual anytime occasions. Also, they can pair nicely with khaki's for the office.

    skeptical at first

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:Runs large
    Size BoughtS

    Weight150 lbs

So before I bought this shirt I read the reviews and I know Patagonia runs large usually, so I wanted to do my research. While reading the reviews everything was right these shirts do run large and as i got further down, a lot of the people my weight were ordering smalls. That had me worried, last time I got a shirt that was a small I was probably in middle school. So with some hesitation I ordered a small. When I put the small polo on, it fit like a glove. Really glad I went with a small because if a small fit perfectly then the medium would of been too big. Material feels great, very soft feel and it has a great look to it.

    Great Shirt.

This shirt has been great for those occasions when comfort is a must, but you need to look a little better than dressing in just a tee. The fabric has a nice soft feel and I always get compliments whenever I wear this shirt. I have this shirt in several colors and it also travels well.

    Fantastic Polo

    Familiarity:I've used it several times
    Fit:Runs large
    Size BoughtSmall
    Height5` 10"
    Weight175 lbs

I love Patagonia even though they are on the pricey side, largely because everything they make fits well, is durable, and can be used in different situations. The squeaky clean polo is super soft, a great length in the arms (not too long, and not too baggy like a golf shirt), and a great length. That said, I read previous reviews and was glad I picked up a size smaller than my normal Patagonia sizing as I'd read these run large. I got a small when I usually wear medium, and it fits perfectly. This is a great polo for around the house, at the office, traveling, and everyday lounging. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Nice quality, Boxy fit for me though

Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    Fit:Runs large
    Size BoughtMedium
    Height5` 11"
    Weight155 lbs

I want to keep this shirt but it's too big. I may try a Small. I am 5'11" 155 and the Medium is boxy and long, aka too big. I am a slim fit by J.Crew standards but don't have much else to compare this polo to. I have had issues with Patagonia Jackets before seeming to be "barrel cut" but just couldn't resist the sale price along with all of the positive reviews for trying out the squeaky clean.

I am 5' 11" and 165 lbs and the small fits me well. I have at least 5 different colors of this style that I currently cycle through during the week.

    dig it

Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    Fit:True to size

I really like this shirt. Its got a little stretch to it. Fits well, and I have big shoulders. Love the materials used and as usual, top quality construction from Patagonia.

    Sized correctly..

    Fit:True to size

What is it with manufacturers lately? Most larges aren't very large. This shirt gives me plenty of room and is sized correctly for what a large is supposed to be. The last few casual dress shirts my wife has bought me have fit like complete shit. I don't see how I can be 5' 7" tall and have the majority of large shirts out there almost feel tight or be too small through the shoulders and chest. And lets not forget the lengths either. They fit me just right or are even short on me. If I was 6' tall or taller I would be showing my mid drift. Showing off my belly button lint makes a real statement. Is the new style looking like the weird douches that try and squeeze into skinny jeans? It is like the scrawny malnourished look of 90's supermodels has hit mens fashion. There are Big and Tall stores.. Maybe I missed the Short and stout ones? Patagonia seems to do pretty well with their sizing. The length is the only real issue for me. I am not usually a tucker when it comes to shirts. It almost seems weird finally getting back into a shirt that fits the way normal sizing should be.

Derrick, I think a medium should be perfect for you
