    Solid waders

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super solid waders! Fit of these waders is on point and has a bit more room in the chest for layering on those colder days. These are worth every penny.

    Third Times A Charm

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First pair of waders were a pair of hand me downs that just couldn't be helped. Second pair was plagued with issues. This pair is a winner, Patagonia nailed it.

Sizing is spot on and they are very comfortable. They run a little loose in the chest, so allow for layering and easy access to the waterproof pouch on the inside. Big kangaroo pouch on the outside holds plenty as well. There is also a hand warming pouch underneath that which is a nifty little feature. The suspender straps have a quick adjustment that allow you to adjust the top down... great when you need to sneak into the bushes, or just want a little less material on a warm day. Very comfortable neoprene booties and built in gravel guards, both excellent features. There are also a couple little flaps near the ez locks that you can clip flies, nippers, forceps, etc... too.

I have these paired up with the Patagonia Ultralight Wadiing Boots and it makes for a great combo. I've fished with these primarily in Oregon so far and was just waist deep in the Clack this past weekend. Came out totally dry. Overall, a definite yes on these waders, couldn't be more stoked to finally have a pair that I love. Highly recommend!!

    Lifetime Warranty NOT TRUE

I bought a pair of Patagonia waders used them for a couple years, average use 3-4 times a year. Recently started to get leaks, I thought no problem they have a lifetime warranty. Sent them in to get repaired and they sent me an email saying, we are going to keep your waders, not repair them and offer you a $178 gift card. Everyone knows you can't get a good pair of waders for $178, especially when I bought those for over $400. So, I put a review on their website similar to this one. I recently, received an email from Patagonia saying they would not post my review. Do not buy Patagonia products, Lifetime Warranty false advertisement.

      Thumbs Up

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave these to my brother for his birthday -- he's a serious fisherman so he goes through a lot of waders. He is extremely happy with them, says that the design is great, that of the ten or so waders he's owned they have by far the most comfortable footies, and "they are great to swim in." I'm not sure what that means, but he seemed pretty happy about that!

      Love em

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these waders about 2 months ago and have been able to use them in many different environments. So far I have loved these waders. They are a little large in the chest allowing for the option of adding some layers. I have been chest deep and been dry as a bone. One of the features I particularly like are the EZ-Lock suspenders. It is easy for me to unclip the lock on the straps in the front and back while I am wearing my vest and holding a rod. This is a nice feature because it allows you to drop the chest down and wear them more as pants then bibs which is really nice when you are in some intense heat. If you are looking for lots of storage space or pockets then look elsewhere. There is a nice mesh pocket on the front and the waterproof phone pocket on the inside which looks pretty safe for a phone but I haven't willingly tested that... They seem very durable as well, I have walked miles in them through heavy bushes, sat in the dirt, squatted down in them, and just thrown them in the back of my truck and no signs of wear and tear. Overall I am very impressed with the quality of these waders for the price! No need to spend 800 dollars!

      Fantastic Waders

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Unlike hand-me-downs I've had in the past these actually fit! The Ex-lock suspender is about the neatest feature I've seen in a wader. It's really simple to drop them to waist level if the need arises. I'm a big fan of the sweatshirt style- kangaroo pocket. Ditto on the waterproof interior one as well. Built in gravel guards are a plus. All said, best wader I've had.

      Amazing waders!

Seriously the best waders I have ever owned. Very durable and light weight. The drop down feature is key for summer or even if its a little warm in the winter or fall. I have had these for almost a year and they are holding up extremely well. I wear a size 11 boot and the booties on the large fit great

      Game Changer.

      • Fit: Runs large

Gave these as a gift, M/Reg, for a 6' guy who's pretty slim. Where's an 11 shoe and the 8-10 bootie fit great, w/ a size 10 boot. There's a really convenient internal chest pocket, sealed to keep your stuff dry. Plenty of room in the legs and body for layering.

      Outstanding Waders

Patagonia is known for quality, and these waders deliver. Backcountry reached out directly after placing my order to make sure ordering was easy and assured me if a return was necessary everything would be taken care of. This level of customer service goes above and beyond my expectations and will keep me shopping here. After receiving my Patagonia waders I tried them on to insure the fit was as referenced in the sizing chart. The waders seemed big but after finding the elastic draw strings inside the waders they adjusted perfectly. I even received a thumbs up from my 7 year old daughter which is hard to come by. my first fishing trip was at the Lower Mountain Fork River and these waders did great. The weather was warm and I did not over heat in these and the rock guards worked well. I am confident I will be using these for years and the easy straps turn these into waist waders very easily. If you are looking for quality waders at a great price look no further.

      Off on the fit

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I decided to pick up a pair of these to replace my boyfriend's ancient Cabela's waders- I love Patagonia products and the H2No, and thought these would fit the bill. Unfortunately, the fit was just OFF. Literally looked like he was wearing clown pants. I'm not saying that fashion is at the top of the list for waders, but a good fit sure is nice. According to the size chart, the size that we got should have fit, maybe a bit big in the waist- but on the body they were ginormous. Ended up exchanging them for a pair of Simms which fit his body type better. Still love Patagonia, these just weren't the ones for this job!

      Top quality!

Love these waders. The price for the quality you get is unbeatable and I know they will last for years to come. The 4-layer fabric construction increases breathability on these hot days and it's abrasion resistance material is nice on my hikes to my honey holes. One of the best features on these is the EZ lock suspenders, which make them easy to drop when no need to have them up and your not in waist deep water. The neoprene knee pads which are removable come in handy and ease the pain after hours of kneeling down or if you take an accidental slip. The storage pockets and waterproof pocket is awesome and comes in handy to keep the valuables dry and near. Overall these are great waders and offer awesome mobility and durability.

      Best Value

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

Aside from Patagonia's legendary return policy (if they rip send them back) these are fantastic. Lightweight, great fit and the two tone color combo looks great. The hand warmers in the front come in handy on those bitter December Steelheading adventures. The best part about these waders is that they are truly all year waders, the convertible top allows you to drop it low when things heat up. You can't go wrong here.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs large

First impressions - super cool. I bought the Rio Gallegos waders in a size small and they were huge so I went to an XS short in these... maybe I went a little over board, so I think The XS would have fit perfect. I'm 5'8 and 150 lbs and I don't like really baggy stuff. So if you're like me (short and slim) you'll probably do good in an extra small..

I love the ability to pull my waders down with out taking them off. Genius idea. So the material is very solid. You don't get the merino wool booties in these, which makes them better for fishing in all weather. The Rio Gallegos are made for the winter steelheader, so you can save $100 and go with these equally solid waders.

I have a few things I don't like though, so maybe take these with a grain of salt...

The front hand warmer pocket is not zippered on the sides. I really, really wish it was. the front zipper you see in the picture is nice, but it's just mesh between the items in there and the outside world. The gear keeper on that front pocket is soooo useful. I just put my zingers for forceps and nipps on there and it works out nicely.

My only other complaint is that the gravel guards are weak. They're just a laminated piece of fabric onto the side of the shell. My first day wearing them that material started delaminating. Who knows how they will keep holding up but I was a little disappointed. I'm super rough on all my outdoor gear so that could be just me and not happen to anyone else. Overall, I'm stoked about the waders. They look good and are a comfortable fabric that isn't as loud as some others out there. Solid waders.

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Very durable, long lasting waders with tons of features. The ability to drop down to waist-height is clutch, and I use it far more often than I thought I would. Also surprised at how breathable the fabric is. Overall very comfortable, especially the booties. Never had an issue with tears or holes, even with some sketchy approaches. Bottom line is these waders improved the fly-fishing experience for me.
