    Quintessential comfort.

When it comes to comfort, the Patagonia Women's Re-Tool Snap-T Fleece Pullover is queen. This luxurious pullover knows a thing or two about plush coziness thanks to its high-pile Polartec Thermal Pro fleece, which retains serious warmth—without the bulk. Additionally, the fabric is bluesign certified and touts a partially recycled construction, while the stand-up collar features a double layer of fleece, making it a formidable adversary against bitter winter chills. A four-snap front placket offers a customizable look, and the kangaroo-inspired handwarmer pocket provides warm respite for chilled hands. Not to mention, the princess seams assure a finished, effortless look that's equally at home on your couch as it is at the corner coffee shop.

    Green is my favorite color!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 135lbs

Goal for the coming year is to write more reviews because I rely on them when purchasing. Thanks for everyone who has taken the time to write them!

Love the buffalo green color and it did not disappoint. I really wanted the down coat in the green but it wasn't offered with th hoodie...got the coat in navy(small) and opted for the re-tool. Based on comments. I wasn't sure what to buy...so I went to the local sporting good story and tried re-tools on....they didn't have green so I did order from backcountry.....I got the small and it fits great. I wear a tank and shirt usually under the re-tool and have plenty of room.

I wear a size 4 in the Fjord flannel shirts.
I wear a small in Synchilla....however I have more room in them then I have in the re-tools.

ALSO, I bought the darker grey for my 15 yr old daughter Christmas...also a small, she has a little broader shoulder than I do but likes her clothes more fitted. (She tried on at local store, too) She has the re-tool vest in a small.

We ski.... I have already used it as another layer however they are beautiful enough for everyday wear. I've worn it to work on casual Friday (bank).

    Warmest sweater

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 205lbs

My sister bought this and said she's usually a size M, but it's too small in the shoulders, so she had to return it and get a size larger. But she loves it and said it's really warm and washes well without shrinking.

    My favorite sweater ever!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I am 5'3" about 115lbs and I bought a size medium. I absolutely love this sweater and want to live in it until next summer! I'd recommend this sweater to anyone. It washes great and I love the navy color. Wish I had one in each color!

Great product but runs VERY small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 145lbs

Quality product but product runs EXTREMELY small. At least 2-3 sizes TOO SMALL.

Shipping was fast. Packaging was super.

****RUNS TOO SMALL***** ORDER TWO SIZES UP

I could wear this every day

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 5'5"
    • Weight: 120lbs

I wish I had one of these in every single color so I could wear them all winter long! They do run small so go up a size. They're super warm and soft and they wash well. I have one of Patagonia's Better Sweaters and I was really disappointed in the way it looked after a couple of washes. The Re-Tool though washes just fine! I got the Buffalo Green color and I love it with jeans or leggings.

    Great Fleece but runs small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 140lbs

This high quality fleece from Patagonia is really nice. Has a nice front pouch and a good form fitting cut. But it does run small. I would say you need to definitely go 2 sizes up from your normal if you are wanting to wear thicker stuff underneath it. It is a really nice fleece but just ran small so I returned it.

    Patagonia has done it again

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I bought this pullover for my wife as a birthday gift. It was an easy choice because she told me she wanted one. I choose the Buffalo Green/Industrial Green.

It's a good everyday fleece and keeps her warm while not being super bulky. She wanted something to throw on when taking our dog out and it has worked well so far.

    bad fit

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'1"
    • Weight: 125lbs

I sized up to a large and it as unflattering and too big. Medium sold out before I could order. The pink looks better in the picture.

    Want one in every color!!!!

I have a gray one with bright blue trim and a teal one, forget the actual color names... 5"5" an d130 and I got a medium on each. Absolutely love these Patagonia Re-Tool fleece pull-overs! Warm, light-weight, comfy, look great... these are my go-to pullover for any wet & rainy outdoor activity--I add a thermal base layer, the retool pullover, and my Marmot Precip jacket and I am ready for anything! I can stay warm, move zippers and snaps around to let out a little steam, still be warm and dry on our Pacific Northwest hikes or just walking around town. I would buy these in every color if I could. Even sitting around the house watching tv (and keep the thermostat low) I stay warm and cozy. These are my favorite go-to pullover. The same vest is also hella warm!

    Feels like a Hug

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'1"
    • Weight: 110lbs

This was my first Patagonia apparel purchase (I own their Ascentionist Pack) and it was love at first sight! The classic/old school style really caught my eye and it is as comfy/cozy as it looks. I own this in a light Rose/Pink color which is not available right now, but it's vibrant enough to stand out from my not-so-colorful wardrobe (lots of blacks, whites, greys, and neutrals) without it being too loud. Not to mention it's softer than I expected it to be! The recycled polyester is blended really well and isn't super dense, so it doesn't make the fit of the overall sweater stiff and it feels good against my skin -- not scratchy.

It's also way warmer than I anticipated it to be as well. Not super wind resistant, but I wouldn't wear this as an outer layer anyways. It's great as a fall midlayer or lounging around the apartment in fuzzy socks and leggings on a chilly night!

The only thing that docked a star for me was the sizing -- I usually wear an XS in most garments but the sleeves and hem of the sweater are a little shorter than I would expect (and I'm a fairly short person). The collar is a little tall too -- not tall enough to be annoying but if I were to button it up all the way It would be kind of tight under my chin.

Besides that, I feel really good when I wear this sweater. It's cute, super warm, and I feel cozy in it.

    Feels like a Hug

    Heavenly, Comfortable Sweater

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Bought this as a gift and the wearer said "it's like wrapping your body in a blanket full of heaven." Extremely soft inside and out, and the buttons make it easy to bundle up or wear it by itself with a t-shirt on slightly warmer days. Fits true to size.

    Love but a touch small

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love the color, kangaroo pocket, and HOW SOFT this is! I usually wear a small to medium in Patagucci and ordered a small. A small is almost the perfect size; it’s a touch short (but I have a long torso), the neck opening is a little small too.

Love it But it Runs Small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I love this. It's soft and beautiful and cozy and I love the gray with just enough purple trim to be neutral and a little fun. But, I want to wear it as a layer. It runs too small to wear anything more than a tank under it. I'm going to return it because it isn't what I needed.

    Great gift

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this for my lady and she has been super stoked on it. Can't go wrong with this one. Really soft and pretty warm as well, despite being so lightweight. Patagonia is almost always a safe bet!

    Like a hug.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this to my momma for her birthday this year because she is always talking about how cold she is. So far, she says she loves it. I have a regular Snap T by Patagonia and I have worn this layer before too, it was someone else's , and I know they always do a good job with proper construction and just making their pullovers as warm as possible. I love my Snap T, so I assume this one is even better since it is so fluffy and awesome.

I have 4 and still want more

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I can't get enough of these sweaters. Love the style and fit of them and they are the coziest item of clothing. I somehow have an X small, small, medium, and large and they all fit- just slightly different. Although it is not a very technical piece, I wear them camping, skiing sometimes, and most of the time when I go on an outdoor adventure. They hold up well as well.

    Unanswered Question

is this bandana blue color more of a royal blue/brighter or is it more of a navy blue/darker?

    Thanks!

I'm wondering whether I should size up or down; I am 5'9 and weigh 160 and usually wear a size 10. I normally don't like to have my jackets too tight and that is why I am torn between a medium or large

Aqua stone/Beryl Green Cross-Dye: Which color is the aqua stone -- the overall main color? -- and is the trim the Beryl Green Cross-dye or what? Please tell me which is which. Thanks

    Hey there,

So the "x-dye" denotation is referring to both dyes being mixed into the fabric. So the outcome of mixing Aqua Stone with Beryl Green is a lighter Beryl like you see here. The original Beryl looks like this:

    is this pullover lined?

Like Adora said, it is not lined. I agree with her comment it is incredibly cozy for that reason (not wind proof though). I've always wondered why with other fuzzy fleeces they line it (like the Patagonia Retro pieces) because I would rather have the fuzzy cozy material on the interior!

How purple is that color? It looks almost greyish. Thanks.

    Hey Julianne,

It's definitely purple, and is more muted than the sheen in our photos might suggest. It's kind of a 'heather', with some white flecks in the mix that lighten up the overall color. Hope that makes sense-- if not give me a call!
