Cooler than the other side of the pillow

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 38
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 210lbs

These are terrific. Comfortable, light, and good looking. I will buy another pair in different color. May want to size up if you want a bit more room.

    Love the Quandary line

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 31" regular
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I have both the Quandary shorts and pants. I bought size 32 in the shorts and they're a tad big, but the 31" pants fit perfectly. I wear a 31 typically, so they're definitely true-to-size. The quality is great, as you might expect from Patagonia, and the fit is great. They're not too loose, but not too tight and the material breathes really well.

    So comfy

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 35 Long
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 215lbs

I wore these as my second pair of pants on a camping trip with the family. They were perfect! I look forward not to just camping with them but traveling with them. They have a perfect side pocket which will be great on planes for passports and IDs. They are very light and I love the drawstrings for in the event I ever lose weight I can tighten them. The only issue was I went with the long because I didn't want bugs to crawl up and I only have a 30 inch inseam. So they definitely are long if that is what you are looking for.

    Stop looking

I started my search for a comfortable, durable, quick drying pant with these and this is where it ended. I hike and climb in these and they are beyond comfortable. When hiking, even when temperatures reach up near 95, these breathe well, wick sweat away, and dry quickly in the rain. I even reach for these to go out and about. You can find these on sale often, and are a great deal. For reference I’m 5’10” 180lbs and the 32 regular fits great.

      Cool and comfort

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 32
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 150lbs

It's very cool in summer days and free of move. Like the feature of DWR and UPF50 (No UPF50 lable found), but the leg is a little bit loose.

      Best pants ever

      • Size Bought: 33L
      • Height: 6'2"
      • Weight: 195lbs

I took these pants to South East Asia. I took them everywhere. Super light and fit perfectly. Patagonia nailed these pants.

Full size or two too small

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 34
      • Height: 6'5"
      • Weight: 195lbs

The construction of the pants seems good, but there is no way the pair I ordered was actually a 34 waist. It was at least one, possibly even two sizes too small. The pants seem good enough to try ordering a size up, though.

      My favorite climbing pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 33/short
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 175lbs

I might have a pant problem. I have a pair of all the major brands and styles (Prana Zion, Brion, Marmot Arch to name a few) and these are my favorite overall. They are pretty lightweight, so when things get chilly, I opt for different ones, but these are great in all other cases. The fit slimmer through the leg than other styles, but are not too tight through the thigh, which is a must for my thunder thighs. Also (and most importantly) chalk dusts right off! I will likely end up buying some more pairs.

      Favorite Pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 34 Short
      • Height: 5'11"
      • Weight: 190lbs

These pants fit well, dry fast, and hold up to lots of abuse. I've had my first pair for 4 years and they've been my go to for all backpacking trips, which include lots of bushwhacking, and off trail adventure.
They have a slimming fit, and seem true to size

      Great pants!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size

What could be better than a pair of pants that are super comfy in the Cascade backcountry and in chasing kids around town. Buy them, you won't regret it.

Best "adventure" pants that I own

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 32
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 170lbs

I bought these on sale & decided to order other colors after a few weeks. Lightweight and cool for warm(er) days with the typical Patagonia quality. These may be the most comfortable pants I own. You'll also get a lot of compliments, if that means anything to you.

      too small, too loose

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 30
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 155lbs

I felt these fit a lot smaller in the waist than my other pants the same size (30). They were also too loose for what I was looking for. I wish Patagonia would make this same thing with a tapered leg!

I wish I had more pairs of these pants

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium
      • Height: 6'0"
      • Weight: 165lbs

These pants are absolutely awesome for all sorts of situations. I love wearing them when I go out for long multi-pitch climbs, just hanging around the house, going out with friends, or anywhere in between. They fit incredibly well, are lightweight and super comfortable! The zipper pocket is just the icing on the cake. Super handy and representative of the overall quality Patagonia offers in their pants.

      Blue slightly tighter than tan

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: 32 Short
      • Height: 5'8"
      • Weight: 173lbs

Absolutely love these pants. I bought them mainly for office work slacks, but wear them casually out of work. Glass blue pants purchased after tan were slightly tighter in the waist, seat and rise. The 32 Short tans fit my 173 pound 5'8" frame perfectly. Very comfortable and have plenty of give for an active person. Really happy with my purchase. This was my first Patagonia product and won't be my last.

      Climbing Galore

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Medium Regular
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 167lbs

I was skeptical at first that these pants would hold up on the granite of Yosemite and the other places I climb but was very impressed. I have had several pairs of BD Castleton pants with the double knee and they wear out faster than I would like. The Nylon and Spandex hold together very well and I have yet to have any issues with tears or rubbing and I have put at least 100 pitches of crack climbing on these pants already. I could also wear these out and look stylish, or have worn them 20 days in a row and be living in my van and nobody would know!

      Unanswered Question

Do these pants have any metal in them: zipper, rivets, buttons?

      Unanswered Question

Do these actually have an articulated knee or not? Description says yes; reviewer says no. Patagonia website shows stitching around knee area but not seeing it in this photo.
