We have purchased 3, so far...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

First of all, we're NOT Patagonia people. We tend to be value-oriented, function over fashion gear buyers, and I don't feel like Patagonia typically meets these criteria. However, due to lack of other options at the time, we did purchase one of these jackets for our oldest boy when he was about 1 year old. We fell in love with the design of the jacket. Specifically, the sleeves are awesome. While they are a bit baggy, their smooth material easily slides over long-sleeved clothing, and the elastic cuffs stay put right at the wrists. On and off, on and off, all day, every day. Easy. The hood fits perfectly when zipped all the way up, which is great, because toddlers don't always want to wear hats. The fabrics are good enough for our PNW winters, and the jackets easily compress and stuff into pockets and diaper bags. Car seats are a breeze.
This first jacket was worn by our oldest boy, and then by our younger boy. It still looks new. We recently purchased 2 more of these in staggered sizes(2T ,3T) and we will continue the chain. These jacket work and wear so well, that we look forward to handing them down to someone else when the time comes.
The fit is on the larger side, but the elastic cuffs successfully keep things manageable. I wouldn't recommend "sizing down".

Too Light for Winter

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: 5T

I LOVE the look of this jacket, but that's what it is, a jacket. It's perfect for spring and fall, but I just didn't feel like the weight would be warm enough for our cold Ohio winters.

Good quality/really cute

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

We bought this Patagonia jacket for our granddaughter for next winter, so can't talk about the fit, but believe it will be good as she only wears 12 mo right now and it is a size 2T. We bought a boys jacket only because her mother preferred something that could be worn by a girl or a boy. Love the solid red color and the pattern is so cute. It was a little thinner than I expected, but after reading reviews that talk about it being a warm jacket, I feel confident it will be plenty warm. Will also plan on layering with a fleece in extreme cold. Our family loves the quality of Patagonia products and the sustainability of the company. I'm sure we will be buying more Patagonia products from you in the future.

lightweight and warm

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I will be buying one of these jackets each year for our little one. It's warm, light, and the designs are fun. I love that it's not bulky. We receive so many compliments on the jacket. Our little one loves pointing out the different animals to everyone. It's a hit and I'd recommend you try one out too.

Great All Around Jacket for a Kiddo

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: Runs large

I bought this jacket for my son who turned 3 over the summer. I generally feel like Patagonia Toddler outerwear runs a little on the large side, which I like -- I'd rather have room for layers and a little room to grow into. We use this jacket for everything -- light rain, cold, skiing, playing outside on a breezy fall day -- this is the only jacket he has or needs.

Perfect for the small fry

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Love that this is reversible. Worked out great for our grandson. Colors make this one we can pass on to the grand daughter when she is a little older.
