Ski Like a Local & Impress Women

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Let's make one thing clear: usually I ski with a helmet, as it's the smart thing to do to avoid skull fracture and ward off the potential for concussion. With a helmet I know I can always push the limits.

That said, when I'm not popping cliffs or gunning it at 60+ mph, or I'm tromping through a ski town and my hair is just too messy to be seen in public, enter this...Patagonia's Powder Town beanie.

This beanie has it all. It's made to cover your ears. Small headed people need not apply.

It has classic (perhaps some would call garish) colors, and, of course, a pom pom.

This hat is warm, which means it's been worn on cold resort days and up 14ers.

This hat is comfortable, which means your girl(s) will try and steal it.

What do people think when they see you in this hat? That you, sir, have style. That you're ready for a side country trip. That you have the skiing ability to save lost gapers and make ski bunnies swoon.

    Get this hat.

    The Best Beanie

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I originally bought this hat for my boyfriend. Unfortunately for him, this might just be the best beanie either of us have ever owned so I wear it as much as he does - if not more! The fit is awesome, snug but not too tight and the quality is top notch! It's soft and thick enough to keep me warm on the coldest days here in Salt Lake City, UT. I love it so much I'm actually going to buy another so that he can have his hat back. I would definitely recommend it to anybody and everybody who loves a good beanie!

    Love it

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This beanie is great for both on and off hill adventures, wore it skiing a couple times now, and keeps me warm and comfortable! Have also worn it for those cold, snowy days on campus and keeps me warm and dry, not much more to say! Just overall a great beanie

    Best Beanie Ever!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

First, this is the heaviest/thickest beanie I've ever seen - in all of the best ways possible (with no downsides). It's incredibly well made, warm and perfectly comfortable. Normally, I won't buy hats without fleece lining for protection from itch and for added warmth. That's not even remotely an issue with this hat. In 10 degree weather, before the White Mountain wind chill, I was perfectly warm and comfortable. I was also worried about sizing - I have a large dome (XL in ski helmets, for example) and often have difficulty finding a hat that fits. This hat went from an XS head (my niece) and to mine and back again - all while fitting us perfectly and maintaining shape and size/fit. It's perfect!
