    Powder Bowl Jacket

From powder days at the resort to bluebird conditions touring in the backcountry, Patagonia’s Powder Bowl Jacket for Women is dynamic enough for any day you’re strapped to your shred sticks. Waterproof two-layer Gore-Tex is known for its durability in the worst of storms and breathability on days when you’re working up a sweat just sitting on the chairlift. The Powder Bowl’s mesh interior is designed to help wick moisture away and regulate body temperature, even when you’re three layers deep, and generous underarm vents dump heat when the day really warms up.

Thanks to its laundry-list of features, the Powder Bowl is really meant to be out in the thick of the storm. The helmet-compatible hood features a laminated visor that helps to enhance visibility and the tall collar provides optimum face protection from icy wind. Additionally, the adjustable powder skirt, cuffs, and hem seal tight to keep cold air out and snow out, leaving you with all the necessary tools for an epic day on the snow.

    As long as a dress

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large

I'm 5'3" and have been skiing in Patagonia jackets for 30 years. I've always loved the quality and fit. This jacket is an exception, and as far as I can tell, part of a growing trend to fit Amazon-tall women in outdoor gear. This jacket's snow skirt hits at the top of my legs. I have dresses that are shorter than this jacket, and I can't comfortably sit down -- it scrunches up in the front, and pulls down uncomfortably in the back where the jacket is caught under me. I bought this style because the length is shorter than some others Patagonia offers. Really, I'm only one inch shorter than the US average women's height, and sometimes petites are too short for me -- why are Patagonia clothes made so large now? It's frustrating. Otherwise, great fabric, features, color.

    Awesome, with fit issues

I think this is a really amazing ski jacket. It is a shell, but it isn't so bare-bones like the touring shells. Superb quality. However, I really don't understand how the arms can be so long and so wide in a size M. I am 5'11" and I am SWIMMING in this coat. Very strange fit.

I got this as a gift, and this is their feedback:
Patagonia always fits me really well but i knew i would want to layer under this shell. I bought a large and i do not regret it one bit. I am blessed in the hips and this jacket doesn't get caught on them when i am getting on and off the lifts. For reference, i am 5 foot and 130. Its pricey but worth it, this jacket will last me a life time.

    warm & cool

Super excited to try on this jacket for the upcoming ski season fits great.
I have another of this jacket in a different color and could not come up with a better option so just went with what works.

Love this jacket! I stayed dry and warm during skiing. Easy to layer underneath. I love the Fluid Green color, however it does show stains/dirt easily. Would highly recommend!
