Pipe Down Jacket
With serious warmth and a healthy dose of style, the Patagonia Pipe Down Jacket is your weapon of choice for cold winter days when you're out from first chair to last call. The waterproof, H2No membrane seals out melting snow while the lofty, 700-fill recycled down (sustainably sourced from used down products) amps up the warmth factor when everyone else is huddled in the lodge. The fleece-lined collar adds a soft touch and reduces chafing, and the powder skirt features webbing loops that attach to any Patagonia ski pants to seal out snow. The feminine cut and angled baffles give you some added flair for the aprés scene.

I sent it back
I felt like a marshmallow. It would do the job--warm, probably an ok coat but styling not for me.
So far so good
I haven't had a chance to truly test this out yet, but I'm in love with this jacket so far. I have needed a "full strength" puffy for a while now, and after lots and lots of searching, reading reviews, comparing specs, etc. I decided on this one.
I love the fit of the jacket, though I find it could be a TINY bit longer. The sleeve length is great, the hood is excellent. I like that the powder skirt is removable for those times when you're wearing it as streetwear. It has a nice feminine cut that doesn't make you look like a marshmallow. Pit zips in a puffy? Awesome!
The true test will come when I actually ski in it - hence the 4 stars instead of 5 for now. I fully expect it to perform well as a ski jacket too, though.
Just skied a few days at -20F and this jacket kept me warm without being bulky. On warmer days it is still airy and light - truly fantastic!
