I was excited to get these. I like Patagonia, and the material & construction are indeed nice! But, they run smaller than what I’m used to. I am about a 34" or 35" in Uniqlo, Gap, or Levi pants (though after months of quarantine and not enough exercise, 35" is probably more true). I am an average build for a desk worker, 5'10" & 180 lbs, perhaps with slightly wider-than-average hips. I bike a few times a week, but I am no super-fit runner or climber. I ordered 34"/Short, figuring these have some stretch. The pants say this is a 30" inseam, which seems about right for me, matching my expectations & my height. Unfortunately, when I tried them on, I realized that I would need either a 36" or 37" size. I’ve just measured my waistline with a string & yardstick (obviously should have done this before ordering), and it is about 37.25" – so I suppose maybe Gap & Uniqlo have flattering sizing, while Patagonia is probably more scientifically accurate. Also notable: the cut of these is not really "slim fit" in the sense I am used to. The thigh area seems pretty tight, while the lower legs are pretty loose. I prefer a more tapered cut for comfort, biking, & aesthetics. So, I guess maybe I’ll try again, but perhaps with a different pair of Patagonias at a larger size.

These didn't work for me. 5,7 170. I am usually a size 33 in waist and can sometimes get by with a 30 inseam. These are advertised as slim which they were in waist and thigh somewhat, but the leg opening is way too big IMO to be classified as a slim fit. Also the length of the pant was extremely long for a 30 inseam. Needless to say sent them back. The overall quality seemed decent I guess.

I love these pants and wear them once a week. My biggest complaint is a seam that goes right across the crotch area. When standing, its no problem. When sitting and in the car, they can become fairly uncomfortable. I expected a little more room/flex design in this area.

Are these too long for you?

Great casual wear pants! The little bit of stretch make it easy to get things done while looking nice! They run just a bit small. I got the Reg/32, but ended up with the Reg/33.

Good casual fit and styling. Would probably be fine hiking, but isn't the best pick for a technical/adventure pant. Fits true to size.

I wore these almost 3 days a week and i am very active. They held up for the first 6 months very well, then the pocket tore inside, and the pants started to show signs of wear. These are great pants for a casual job and an easy hike. But they do wear down if you use them as an everyday pant. i have holes in both knees and a rip on my hip. Now they are my painting pants. For $100 they should be a little more durable.

Good Pant, Inconsistent Sizing

I usually wear a 32" waist in pants, and in this pant I bought the 33" waist and it still was tight around the midsection. All of my 32" waist pants still fit just fine, and I haven't gained weight, so I imagine the fit is just a little inconsistent. But they do feel really durable and the cut is really nice, not too slim and not too roomy. They are a super versatile look that you can dress up or down and use for a variety of occasions.

Bought these pants to have something comfortable and professional for work since jeans were not kosher. Turned out to be a great choice as they've been very durable and feel great They've held up after multiple washes, bangs, and scrapes on desks and equipment around the office with no obvious signs of wear in the fabric. Overall, I'm very happy with these pants and will likely buy more should these ever wear out.

Got these pants and wow are they comfy. The fit is more of a straight cut rather than slim which I was happy with.

These pants offer everything I have come to expect from Patagonia. They are comfortable, durable, fashionable, and I know they will last for some time to come. They do have a slimmer fit, but the fabric has some stretch, which allows you to move around easily while wearing them.

It's hard to find pants that fit me well. This pant does that. When I bought one pair and it fit I went back and bought a pair in every color. These are one of the few pants that come in multiple length options.

I've been a huge fan of the Patagonia Performance jeans so I decided to pick up a pair these. Incredibly comfortable, stretchy, and an awesome strait fit. I'm pretty sold on only wearing Patagonia performance pants for as long as they keep making them.

This is my second pair of these. They're comfortable and have a great fit (slim but not tight). I have a 30" inseam, and the short variation fits me very well. The amount of stretch is perfect for daily wear. I typically wear a 31" or 32" waist, and the 32 short fits me perfectly.
