Better choices for a large head

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is OK but IMO barely suitable for large heads. I'm an XL hat size and this beanie is a very close fit. It'll work but it's quite thin to begin with and one wonders whether stretching it over my melon head and donning my helmet will quickly wear out the fabric. There are better choices: I have a Gore Wear beanie that fits far more comfortably and seems to be more robustly constructed -- both beanies are about the same price.

This is a high quality lightweight beanie which breathes well, keeps my head (and ears) warm and feels amazing because of soft materials. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely in love with it!

I've already worn it a few times, and I love it! I bought it to use with my helmet when I go mountaneering or for cold rock climbing activities, but I've also been wearing it daily to go to class, and it's just so comfy, and what I love most is it keeps me warm without heating my head which is something I can't stand. I'll update my review as soon as I practice the activities I bought the beanie for, and I'm definitely buying another one as a gift to my boyfriend.

Love, perfect for nordic

I love this beanie. It is thin and fits into a pocket easily but most importantly, is just a tiny bit slouchy so it doesn't hug too tight. So many beanies lightweight enough for active sports are really tight and unflattering and it's almost impossible to find one that isn't. This one is comfy and looks good. I use it for nordic skiing but imagine it would also be great for winter running. Not the right choice if you're looking for something really warm though.
