Disappointed
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 220lbs
Read a lot of good reviews before buying this and so had high hopes. I’ve purchased a fair amount of Patagonia gear and this is the first thing I’ve truly been disappointed with. My main complaint is it is not a warm jacket. I’m not expecting it to keep me toasty at or below freezing, but even in the mid- to upper 40’s it’s cold and even a bit drafty. It’s a fair amount of money to pay for what is essentially a windbreaker. Unfortunately I’m 7 days past when I could have returned it so I’m stuck. My advice is if you’re looking for a synthetic fill jacket, keep looking.
Great Backpacking Puffy

- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium

Temps dropped to the low 40's at night on the trip I took this on. This puffy packs down small when you don't need it and kept me cozy for those chilly mornings when breaking camp.
Great Jacket!

I love the fit and warmth of this jacket. How is it so light but still so warm?!! This is a great jacket if you need something warm that doesn't take up a lot of space. It fits true to size, If i was 5-10 pounds lighter, I would have gone with the Large instead of the XL.
Husband loves it
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I bought it for my husband to replace a cheap light down jacket he'd ruined wearing it walking home in the rain too often. This jacket works perfectly for what he wants it for and I'm happy that it's synthetic so when he gets it wet I know its still keeping him warm. It packs down really well for a synthetic layer as well great for stashing in your pack!
Met with disappointment
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
- Height: 5'10"

This jacket isn't as warm as I hoped for, a bit disappointed with it. I had an REI jacket with the same synthetic insulation, was much better- wish I hadn't outgrown it.
First off- the sizing is weird. Usually wear medium, I felt medium was a bit tight on my waist and way too tight on shoulders. Large fits comfy on shoulders but freaking huge on my waist. Meant for a fat man I guess?
Second-guessing wind seeps in which is what really disappointed me.
Lastly the cinch chord only on one side- there's a reason almost every jacket uses two sides for this. Doesn't work well and looks awful.
Honestly for a high end syn jacket, you pay too much and get so little. Not worth it.
Hard to go wrong.

The Nano Puff has been a best seller for Patagonia for years, and will be for the foreseeable future. Warm, comfortable, breathable, and will put up with whatever you can put yourself thru in the outdoors.
Love it
Best jacket Iâve ever worn.
Can't go wrong
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 140lbs
Lightweight, packable, and lightly insulative, this jacket is a great midlayer for skiing or as a comfy but not overly cozy spring-weather covering.
Nano Puff!

- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XXL
- Height: 6'6"

Excellent coat from Patagonia. Very functional to say the least. Looks great over anything and also works great under a shell. Well worth the price, glad I got it!
My FAVORITE Jacket!

- Size Bought: XL

The Patagonia Nano-Puff is the most comfortable and warm jacket I have ever worn - especially considering how lightweight it is. Not the best for rainy days but I always have mine on me when I venture into the mountains and/or forest and it is the perfect jacket for cold days on the Oregon coast! I simply cannot say enough about this jacket!!
Jack of all trades
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 6'1"

Master of none. This jacket lacks warmth, does not block wind or rain and frankly, not something dependable. It is well made, packs small and looks great. I read all kinds of reviews and researched competition but It's just not really good for anything...
Sending it back. The hunt for a warm all arounder jacket continues...
Best jacket ever!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I really enjoy Patagonia jackets and this style with the hood is great for skiing. The hood fits perfectly underneath my helmet and keeps me warms throughout the day.
Can Nice and warm
- Size Bought: Large
- Height: 5'9"

I gave this as a gift. "I was given this Nano Puff as a gift and I love it. I got a size large and it fits great, not too loose not too tight. Great even when it gets pretty nippy outside and light enough to pack and take traveling or out on an adventure. I use it under my shell when I am skiing or out hiking.
Classic jacket to own!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
I bought this jacket as a gift for my little brother for Christmas. He was looking for a lightweight jacket good for mild winters in Texas. This jacket works great! It is lightweight but still warm and works great for everyday wearing. He is about 5'8 and 150 pounds (with an athletic build) and the medium fit him just a little big. Probably something he will grow into. Not a problem though, I knew the fit of this jacket was a little boxier than most so it fit just as I imagined. Great jacket overall!
Perfect Jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'7"

Super happy with this puffy. Super comfortable and very warm. Works as a great layer for skiing but also as a stand alone jacket for around town in the winter. I really like how low profile it is compared to some other puffy jackets I've had in the past that are a little bulkier. I hate having a big bulky insulated layer under my shell so this is perfect for me. Another quality piece by Patagucci
Versatile Jacket.
This is a great jacket for wearing alone or under a shell on colder days. I wear it almost everyday in the winter. Fits true to size and will last many years.
Fits great, not all that warm
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 168lbs
Maybe I just run a little cool but this jacket did not keep me warm in 30 degree temps.. The fit and quality are great and it's a cool looking jacket. But it's lightweight and would need lots of layering to be your only winter jacket.

This jacket is great. It can withstand colder temperatures, and still be used in warmer temperatures without being too hot. The sizing is pretty accurate in my opinion as well.
Love it

I bought this for my husband and it looks great on. He had an older one without a hood.
He is 6”4’ tall and thin, and wears a M.

How much does this weigh in an XXL? Thanks
How small is the jacket when it is packed into its pocket? I see the pic but there is no reference for size. (Looking for large specifically.)
Thanks for the review, Claire!
