    The gold standard.

A staple in the Patagonia line for going on 30 years, the Patagonia Men's Lightweight Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Jacket sets the standard for multi-functional use. Its lightweight Synchilla polyester fleece insulates against cold temps, manages moisture, and dries quickly, making the jacket ideal for everything from cool mornings at the crag, chilly fall days on your favorite trout stream, and afternoons tailgating in the resort parking lot. Patagonia knows what works and what doesn't, and it pretty much hit the nail on the head when it first designed the Synchilla. As a result, the jacket remains largely unchanged with a streamlined pullover design, stand-up collar, and Y-joint sleeves that leave your arms free to move whether you're warming up on a boulder problem, casting to rising trout, or trying to flag down the bartender for another round.

    • Patagonia's iconic Synchilla fleece for hiking and everyday wear

    Great Fleece

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This fleece is great. Its thick enough to be warm but light enough not to sweat to death. also if you put a hoodie on under this in cold weather, then you'll be plenty warm. Overall I love mine and wear it all the time, its comfortable and durable

Decent but NOT for WINDY Cold weather!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 220lbs

Have a Snap T for a few years now and Patagonia still makes the same version without hardly updating the classical design or materials.
The Synchilla fleece is fuzzy to the touch, warm for Cool weather wear and is a good midlayer under a jacket or shell for warmth though it is bulky. The sleeves are somewhat short as it extends barely to my wrists and does pull up when arms are extended. The pullover does pull up as well when you lift your arms.

    Some issues you may encountered:
    1. It 's true to size but does shrink over time esp. if using low heat in dryer
    2. The fleece slowly gets harder over time so try not to wash with harsh detergents to help slow that though dryer on low dry setting does help
    3. It does NOT BLOCK OUT THE WIND! It's the SAME thing with many North Face fleece! The wind WILL CUT THROUGH the fleece.
    - In cool or warmer temps, it's not much of an issue esp. in warmer areas.
    - But when you wear it as an outer layer during COLDER temps and there's a chilly wind, You WILL freeze! You'll find out if you live in New England with chilly arctic air weather conditions.
    - Patagonia obviously has Not made its Synchilla fleece dense to block out the wind.

    Cozy Fleece!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large

This pullover is exactly what I have been looking for. I gave it as a gift and he loves it. It runs big for sure so we are in the process of swapping. I for sure recommend going with your size on the smaller end of the chart. It is worth it once you find the right size though. It is so comfortable and so warm. Let me know if I can help you pick your perfect size.

    Comfy But Delicate

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I have owned this pullover for about a year and worn it over a dozen times, and it is easily one of the more comfortable jackets that I own. This jacket fits relatively loose on me. I am on the slimmer side and usually wear Mens Medium in shirts and jackets, and if anything this jacket is a little on the large side for me. The material is incredibly soft, but will wear down quickly if washed often or worn in less than ideal conditions. Additionally this jacket does shed a little. This in my opinion should not be used as a performance jacket as it is more of a fashion piece, and because of the lack of durability in the fabric itself, but I love the designs and colors for the jacket. The collar seems to be designed to stand up, but the height of the collar feels a bit high. Overall, I would strongly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a comfortable, attractive looking pullover for Spring or Fall weather.

    Beautiful fleece jacket

    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 190lbs

I had a little different experience from many here who say that the size runs large. I normally take an XL in shirts and jackets. I ordered an XL and this pullover was really tight fitting. Based on my experience, it seems to run small. I would order an XXL but I'm not sure it would be loose fitting enough, considering that you most likely will be wearing a shirt or a couple of layers underneath. Still a beautiful fleece and I recommend it, but be careful with sizing.

    Awesome pattern!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Size Bought: small
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I love this fleece! Its one of my favorite go to pieces for camping. Even though its a men's I bought the small for myself because I loved the delta/cinder pattern. The sleeve are a little long on me and the fit is a little boxy but it is a man's fit so I don't mind. Next one will definitely be that fish print!

    Bringing back the 80s

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 155lbs

I bought this for my husband to wear on a trip to Idaho. Lets just say that when he walked into the room with this bad boy on, people noticed. Not only is it stylish and snazzy, it is also warm. You can wear this under your ski jacket and then out for the night on the town. It seems well crafted and durable.

    Great for anything

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 155lbs

This is an awesome fleece to use camping, lounging around the house, or on a night out with a wide range of colors depending on what you like. I wouldn't really say this fits large, it is definitely a relaxed and baggy fit - great for a casual day.

Perfect Fleece for cool southern nights!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XL
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 240lbs

I purchased this fleece for my husband and he absolutely loves it!! He is 6'2, 240 lbs and the XL is a perfect fit!! The sleeves are also plenty long enough for his long arms ( which is a rare find for us). Overall this fleece is perfect for the chilly southern Alabama mornings and nights!!!!!!!!!

    cool style cool jacket

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Got the ladies in the family a few of these jackets for christmas so i had to do the same for the guys and they loved them just as much. So many awesome colors to choose from and so comfortable. Runs maybe a tad Large but pretty true to size

    Powerful Fleece

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 135lbs

I wear this as a single layer when it is in the 30s and it delivers warmth similar to a jacket. It is soft and very enjoyable to wear. If you are hiking or active do not wear as you will get too hot! Great purchase!

    My Go To Gift

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

I gave these to so many people for Christmas and they all loved them, men and women! Everyone said they are comfy whether it be for relaxing at home or wearing around during the winter. They do fit a little baggy so don't order larger to be safe, they are already big.

I've got a larger build, I'm 6'2 and about 210 pounds, would a large be too small for me? I wear XL in most things but my other patagonia jacket (retro x) is a large.

    Best Answer

My indirect answer is to order both and keep the one that fits best; otherwise, you won't be 100% certain you went with the right size. My guess, though, is that an XL would fit you more comfortably, unless you want a more athletic fit, in which case you can probably get away with the LRG since I've heard they run a tiny bit big. Again, my suggestion is to order both, and with 2-day shipping going on, you'll know your size by the weekend!

What size for a lanky 6’4’ 175 pound guy? I’m leaning towards a M but I think the sleeves would be too short.

    6'0 200lbs should i go with a medium or a large?

I would say a large. I am 5'8" 200 lbs and wear a large in almost everything Patagonia makes.
