Comfortable and well made
This is an excellent shirt. The texture is a brushed, soft finish that is very comfortable. I get extra discount from here: coupon-code.info
Love the lighweight!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: large
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 170lbs
I have both the lightweight and regular weight fjord and I wear the lightweight about 100% more often. The classic Fjord has a boxier, relaxed fit and wears more like a heavyweight than a standard flannel. I often find the regular fjord is too hot to wear in most situations where you want a flannel, and if I wear it, it's as an outer layer in the fall. The lightweight hits the sweet spot though! Exactly the right weight to feel cozy but not like you're overheating. If you're looking for a flannel as a casual everyday piece that layers well go lightweight!
Patagonia Lightweight Fjord Flannel
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: L
- Height: 6'00"
- Weight: 180lbs
I love this shirt! Great color, soft and cozy fabric! I'm really happy with the sizing and fit, It is comfortable with enough room to move but not too baggy. Highly recommend!!!
I love the shirt
Gift for my husband and here's what he had to say - I love the shirt, it just shrank a little more than I was hoping for- I would go up a size.
Great Flannel
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
- Height: 6'0"

Superb material and fit. Feels cozy and does the job! Patagonia is always a good choice!
Solid flannel!
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
I bought this flannel as a gift for my little brother who is in highschool. He is 5'8 and 150 and has a more athletic build. The medium fit just right. This flannel is a great addition to his wardrobe of tshirts and jeans. Its a classic piece to own. It is much lighter than the normal Patagonia Fjord flannel, but that is perfect for living in Texas where its a bit warmer and the normal Fjord would be a bit of overkill. Great piece to own!
Great winter gear
- Familiarity: I've used it several times

As advertised
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
- Height: 6'

This is a nice light weight over-shirt. I too debated on the size to get. Glad I got the XL (I wear a 44R suit coat.)
Nice Shirt And It Fits Great
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: L
- Height: 6'2"
- Weight: 175lbs
After reading some of the reviews, I was a little hesitant to order the L instead of XL but this shirt fits great. The sleeves and torso fit perfectly. Very comfortable and the color options are great.
Nice Shirt - Too Small and short.
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 165lbs
Nice shirt but returning as the medium is too small. Wish Patagonia would get it together on their sizing. Love most of their products but it's a guessing game when ordering a new item. I have other shirts from Patagonia in medium and they fit fine.
What happened to the torso?
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: M
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 170lbs
Nice shirt, soft and comfortable material. It definitely runs short in the torso compared to every other shirt of this size/fit that I have to the point that it looks too short.
Great shirt
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
- Height: 5'9"
- Weight: 190lbs
I would say this is a medium weight flannel based on the 5 others I own and I absolutely love it. Patagonia seems to make the slimmest fitting flannel out there and this one is very warm and comfortable. My wife thought it looked so good she asked me to wear in our family pictures so that's saying something.
great shirt
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
- Height: 6'
- Weight: 180lbs
Bought size large, am 6" 180# and it fits well. My long arms usually result in shirts being too short for arm length, but this fits perfectly.
Fjord Forever!
This is definitely a lightweight version of the original Fjord Flannel. We gave this one a try and it reminds me more of a dress shirt than a true flannel but it is still great quality. We would prefer the regular Fjord over the Lightweight but the colors are great and it looks very nice on him!
Definitely A Lightweight
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: M
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 185lbs
This is a nice mid layer for early mornings in the fall, when you're out moving around and don't want too much insulation. But it is indeed a lightweight flannel, and I doubt I'll get as much use out of it as my more standard weights, come the MN winter.
Haven't washed it yet, so perhaps it will soften up, but the material is surprisingly coarse for this type of shirt. Otherwise, it seems to be well-constructed, and I'm really pleased with the colors. I also like that although it's technically long enough to tuck in, it looks perhaps a bit better untucked, which gives me a different look than my other flannels.
I'm someone of roughly average build who has recently lost enough weight to move back to a M from the L/XL zone I'd been in for a while. From that perspective, I would call the fit true-to-size, and my M fits great. If I get toward the smaller end of the M range, however, it might start feeling a bit boxy; People who are skinny or desire a super-trim fit can probably size down.
Number one shirt
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Height: 5'3"
- Weight: 126lbs
Got this shirt. Wearing it now. Haven't taken it off since it came in a couple days ago. So soft and sturdy.
So Cal MTB Trail Jacket
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL
- Height: 5'11"
- Weight: 215lbs
I'm in So Cal, where winters are fairly mild, but still chilly enough on the trails when mountain biking, especially in the mornings, where a t-shirt is not enough to keep me comfortable. Full-on jackets are almost always too much here. I have a Patagonia Nano-Air Light Hybrid Insulated Vest, an excellent recommendation from my gearhead, Connor Johnson, but sometimes I like the coverage of long sleeves.
Enter the Lightweight Fjord. I wear this on the trail over a t-shirt, and it's perfect. I can roll the sleeves up and/or undo a couple buttons to regulate body temp. If it's one of those rare times where it's really cold, I can throw the vest on over the top of the Fjord.
I had originally ordered a Stoic flannel on sale at a ridiculously low price, but the fit was off, so I returned it. Patagonia always fits and feels good, and I'm stoked with this shirt.
Perfect Gift
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Got this for my Brother in law for Christmas. Last time I saw my sister, she was the one who couldn't stop wearing it.
Fantastic
Great flannels at a good price. Size down. Iâm 6ft 190ish...not thin..and the large is too big. I never order mediums but the medium looks way better on me than the large. If you are between sizes you can definitely shrink a large down to be somewhere between a medium and a large.
Fabulous Fjord
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: L
- Height: 6'3"
- Weight: 185lbs
This a perfect fall flannel. The thickness is perfect for day and perfect with a jacket at night. My only problem is deciding on what patters to get.
Do these shirts ship to Alberta, Canada? I tried checking out my cart and it said one of these items doesn't ship to my country. Thanks.
