Smolder Blue color is not accurate

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

True to size

I'll start by saying I own these pants in the Kale Green and absolutely love them, so much so that I wanted to buy a second pair in a different color. I ordered the Smolder Blue, but the color does not look like the picture at all. They are actually a dark gray and don't have any hint of blue. I returned the pants since the color was not as expected. Also, one of the pockets was sewn incorrectly with excess fabic so it billowed on the left, whereas the right pocket laid flat. I would expect more from Patagonia products. Disappointed that I did not like these as much as my original pair.

These pants feel great but the fit for me was odd. I ordered a size smaller then my normal but they have too high of a waist and baggy in middle. Returned.

These are the very best travel pants I have found. I brought them on a 3 week trip to Africa and they held up great. Like most other reviewers, I found them to run a bit big for Patagonia sizing and after a days wear, the waistband does stretch out a bit but not enough to make them unusable. They kept me dry, cool, and clean during long days in dusty and hot environments. I love how they can be worn as true pants with a jogger like bottom or hiked up a bit to wear as capris that stay put with the elastic band on the hem. I prefer this design to other "adventure pants" which have buttons or fabric closures to convert the pants into another length. Highly recommend them for your next adventure or hike/climb, you will not be disappointed!

I did not like these. They fit supper baggy and reminded me of genie pants. The waistband was comfortable but I could get past the odd fit. Sent back.

I've been using these pants for 3 years and they've held up wonderfully. I've been hiking, climbing, camping, and lounging in them. I've snagged them on an exposed nail and sharp rock, and I'm shocked that they didn't rip. I think the four-way stretch helped with that. They're breathable, comfortable, and durable. Keep in mind Patagonia repairs their products, so in my mind that's extra peace of mind as I wear these around the crag and put them to the test. Hope they'll stand up to many more years of use.

I originally ordered a small, but they were too large around the waist. I gave them to my mom, and they fit her perfectly! I ended up ordering an xsmall for myself and they fit well. As someone who normally lives in yoga pants, I’ve found them lightweight and comfortable enough to lounge in as well as hike in

No restrictions from fabric! I feel sooo free in these pants. Your movement has no limit. Also no wrinkles. Looks so ironed. I got lots complements. I’m 5’5” 130lbs. Usually wears small or medium. Small loosely fits. Medium is too big.

truly impressed with these pants! i did buy them thinking they would be a cotton blend, so my mistake, but despite the fact they are more of a hiking pant material they are great. great for inside and outside, so comfy, and good looking.

These pants are essentially perfect. They're more comfortable and breathable than leggings, they have pockets, they can be hiked up the calves a bit. The only issue is fit. They sit higher on the waist (just under belly button), which is party what makes them look SO cute, however they run very wide in the waist. I took them in by an inch on both sides so I wouldn't need to hike them up. Now they are perfect and I wear them lounging, hiking and climbing.

I've been blessed with athletic legs, especially calves (16"), and have been on the hunt for joggers that don't cling, and these are great! Bonus points for being stretchy, breathable and oh so comfortable. I've literally worn them daily since they've arrived. They are great for walking my dogs, anywhere from 50-70 degrees. They don't ride up or fall down. For reference, I am just under 5'5", 195lbs and bought a large which is what I wear with all my other patagonia gear, but carry most of my weight in my chest and stomach. Like I said though, I have big calves, and thicker thighs, these are the only pants of this style I've found that don't cling and suffocate them! These are the perfect length on me, but I could see if you were taller these may look a little short. I would also agree they run a bit big, so if you are in between sizes, I'd size down. The waistband is nice and thick with some stretch so you never feel like it's cutting into your stomach, but no adjustable drawstring so take that in to consideration when sizing. If you're on the fence about getting these, just get them, they are worth it! I'm looking at buying my fourth pair!

These fit my curves wonderfully. I am a sz 12 pants and have struggled with Patagonia sizing being too narrow for my round booty. These are wonderful, and extremely comfortable! Very comfortable to move around in- they pass the bending over, squatting, sitting tests with flying colors. The high waist is a plus for me. Perfect summer hiking pants. Glad I bought two pair.

The fit is pretty good. I bought both XS and S based on the reviews. The XS is fitting but I found the S a bit more comfortable in the thighs and length. I agree with the others in that the waist is kind of loose. Also, I do not mind the ever so sleight higher waisted coverage. Actually provided much-needed coverage while climbing/hiking in Petra. I purchased 2 pairs and have loved every moment with each.

Patagonia always make a really great quality product however I feel like their sizing is all over the place. I’m a small in every brand of pant I own but these in small were a pretty awkward fit. I didn’t mind the length or that they are somewhat high wasted but just far too loose so they wouldn’t actually stay at the waste. Probably easiest to try on in store first if you can and purchase online for the savings.

I usually wear a medium but got a small after reading other reviews- this was the right choice except for the length, they seem a little on the short side. They are also VERY HIGH WAISTED- great if that's your thing. I have long legs and a long torso and a decent sized rear, and these still come up well above my belly button. The stone blue is definitely a brighter blue than pictured- I looked at them on multiple computers and my phone and the picture looks like a more muted blue than what I received. That being said, they are still super comfortable and fairly flattering. The high waist and jogger length will make them perfect for peddling around town.

Ok wow these pants are amazing! I have been searching for a high waisted/jogger-style hiking pant for a while and these are IT! At 5'3" and short waisted, these are definitely high rise on me (probably fit TTS mid rise on others) and full length, though the elastic on the ankle does allow for me to hike them up and make them more cropped as needed. Just amazing!

I'm obsessed with these pants! To me, they are the perfect cross between yoga pants and hiking pants--exactly what I need for warmth, comfort, and sun and bug protection while camping. I guess they might run big; not terribly so, but if you are between sizes you definitely should size down. These pants are very flattering and I'm so glad I found them on sale (though I would have paid full price for the quality!).

I got these pants to protect my legs from the sun on my long hikes. I was a little worry about being hot, but that was not a issue. They are super comfortable and light fabric. I did a 22 mile hike with sun, rain mud and climbed boulders!! I am 5' 4 ,123 lb Small fits really good, even my 21 year old daughter thinks that the pants are super cute!
