I have 3 versions of this flannel and each is an equal favorite. The flannel material is strong, rugged, yet soft and comfortable to wear. The shirts never go in the drier to preserve the soft feel and perfect size. I wear a size large and have a 16.5 neck, 35-36 sleeve length, 44 chest, and 36 waist. Pick one up and it will last for years!

new favorite flannel, it's camo, it's not too THICK so compared to some other patagonia flannels i call this one medium thickness with a very high quality cotton. sweet pattern, probably my 10th pata flannel, i didn't wait for this one to go on sale in the middle of summer because i knew medium would be SOLD OUT by then in camo. !!!! so glad i got this. many compliments on the funkiness already :)

Super comfortable and warm. The sleeves roll up real easily thanks to the extra spacing on the arm thingys. One problem I had is the size; I am 5' 5" 130lbs and wear size small for all my shirts, except this one. A small was a bit of a parachute on me, but XS fit like a glove.

I'm usually a guy that scours thrift stores for his flannel because I like that 'broken in' feel and I like to think that it reduces waste. However, after receiving a bit of a pay raise at work and seeing these on sale, I decided to splurge. If you'll excuse the hyperbole, that decision was one of the greatest fashion-related decisions of my life. This flannel was soft and cozy right out of the box, and each subsequent wash since has only made it softer (no, I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets). It has a nice weight to it, being sturdy enough to handle hikes with quick bouldering detours, and thick enough to keep me warm for short spans in sub 50 degree weather. Fit-wise I'd say it's a little long, with the bottom of the shirt slightly poking out the bottom of my size-large Patagonia micropuff jacket, but I don't think it's too big of a deal. Additionally, with it being made by Patagonia, buying it supports one of the few objectively not-horrible apparel companies in the industry. Since buying this one, I've purchased another directly from Patagonia during their spring sale event and will keep my eye out for future discounts on these. They're definitely worth their normal price, but why pay full price when you can get it on sale, right?

I love this flannel, had been wanting to get one for a very long time and finally pulled the trigger, I could not be happier, its super comfortable and really soft. The Large fits me well, loose on the body which would allow me to wear it over others layers in the future if need be. I really love the color selection I got the Basin/Marigold and have already gotten compliments about it. This won't be my last Fjord Flannel.

Of all the flannel shirts sitting in my closet this is the one I reach for consistently. This is the softest, overall best feeling one of the bunch. Plus Patagonia has different weights of this flannel so you can dial in the warmth for your environment. Standard wear from October to April for me.

For a guy who is 6'2 and around 150-160 pounds, reading that shrinks once in the dryer, should I get a L or M?

Hey Andrea, I am 6'2", 185 lbs. and have multiple Patagonia Flannels in Medium that are made of cotton and the shrinkage is pretty minimal. I would recommend a Medium for you as well in the Fjord Flannel Shirt. Feel free to shoot me any additional questions directly about anything Patagonia.

A large should fit you well. I'm 175cm/80kg (5'9"/175lbs) and a medium fits me perfectly.
