This is a gorgeous coat- great fabric and down filled. The styling however is off. It bordered on being almost too large in the shoulders — but the mid section was too tight.....very unflattering. This coat needs more A line styling.. The way it is made, It is great for those with straight figures...but not other figure types. Very disappointing! Had to be returned

I returned this because it was so big one me. It was like wearing a zippable sleeping bag, so back it went. Nice coat, though.

I really like the quality but it seems to run bigger and longer than the same model in the past. Also, previous comments mentioned that the zipper sticks and I did notice that it has a stiff zipper. I returned because just too long for me. I’m 5’4” at 145 lbs and I ordered a large.

I absolutely love this jacket. It's been in the high 20's low 30's with damp air and the insulation around my waist and thighs is so great. Patagonia does it again. The jacket is cozy without making me feel like the Pillsbury dough-boy.

I bought this last winter and found myself living in it. It has not shed a lot and still looks great despite lots of use. It's slim fitting and stylish It's also lightweight and doesn't make me look like the Michelin Man. I got it on sale for a great price. Highly recommend!

consistently leaks/sheds feathers

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

From day one, this parka has consistently leaked and shed tiny down feathers from the inside and outside. I purchased the black in a small. The fit was slim and stylish, true to my tall 5'11" frame. The parka itself keeps you warm in cool weather for being so thin and compact! I own a few Patagonia down parkas and I have never had a leaky feather problem. I am chalking this up to a poor design and manufacturing issue for this batch of Fiona parkas. Sadly, I had to return because the quality of the parka did not live up to the Patagonia name nor the $299.00 price tag.

This coat would be perfect for a liner inside another winter coat. I thought with a Patagonia label, that it would suffice as a warm winter coat. I'm returning it. Nice for cool weather, but not for cold weather. Otherwise, fit was nice.

This is my second Fiona. I owned my last one for about 7 years, and it held up great. Just upgraded to this model, and I love it. It's the opposite of bulky, and has some shape to it which is hard to find with a down jacket. Recommend!

Sorta love it--it does fit really small but I'm tiny so it's ok--not optimum with a bulky sweater. I really like wearing it though. I have a shorter version and it doesn't cover enough when it's cold. Customer service was excellent. I had them ship the S so I could see, ended up staying with XS. Very happy with the purchase overall. Good price.

the zipper was just too difficult to deal with. I really wanted this to work as the light weight was what I was looking for.I returned it.

I'm in the Washington DC area, and it doesn't get super cold too often. I have TNF's Arctic Parka, and it's a wonderful coat, but too heavy and bulky to wear regularly, so I only bust it out on extreme winter days. I was looking for an everyday, long, light winter coat. I was a bit skeptical of this coat when I first got it due to how light and thin it is. But now I've used it several times, including a trip to NYC, and it's just wonderful. It's incredibly warm for how thin and light it it. I wear it over a thin shirt or a sweater and it is perfect. I was even sweating after walking for a while. As far as sizing goes- I usually wear a medium, TNF, Arcteryx, Columbia, always M, even though the fit varies slightly from brand to brand. It might be a tiny bit smaller, but minimal, rally- it does fit a bit snug if i wear it with a hoodie or something heavy underneath, but I never do. I like just wearing it over a long sleeve shirt, or thin sweater, so I thought it was fine. I also bought the large to compare, and the large was definitely too baggy so I stuck with the medium. It's slim and long and fitted and it looks really nice! Haven't had the feather leaking issue that other reviewers had mentioned.

Everything people said about this coat is true. The fit is weird - too tight across the waist area, arms are way too long, feathers shed. The zipper is hard to pull up. Also, it's hard to admit this but I wanted the Patagonia label on the front, or on the arm - and i rarely want any label showing. Anyway, it's going back. Sigh, I wanted it to work.

My mom was loves the warmth of this jacket and how light weight it is. She uses it up in northern idaho on some 5 degree days this winter and was satisfied with the warmth. She did say she wishes it was a couple inches shorter.. that is her only complaint

I think it fits true to size. It is warm and stylish too. I got many compliments wearing it. I bought it on sale in Spring so it is very good value. It is not bulky at all and it's good for travel since it's very light.

I bought this coat for my Mom and she loves it! She says it's a very flattering style and she likes that it is not too puffy. She is 5'4" and 120, athletic build, and I purchased her a size small. I had originally ordered a medium and it was a little baggy, which would be perfect if you wanted to have multiple layers underneath, but I exchanged it for a small since my mom already has a heavier winter coat that she layers underneath. She gives it two thumbs up all around!
