A concrete jungle where things are frozen.

When it comes to winter, mountain-folk think they have a monopoly on bad weather, but you know how nasty it can get in the city. Thanks to Patagonia’s City Storm Parka, you no longer have to be intimidated by frigid commutes and snowy nights out. When stormy weather is on the horizon, fully-sealed H2No waterproofing protects you from whatever rolls in, while 700-fill recycled down ensures that you’re nice and toasty through all of it.

The City Storm is Patagonia’s longest waterproof parka, offering protection from slushy sidewalks and unexpected plow drive-bys. Unlike cabs in a snowstorm, its detachable hood is there when you need it and gone when you don’t. Add in Patagonia’s trusted quality, and you’ve got a parka to rely on all winter long.

    • A parka for those who don’t let winter slow them down
    • H2No shell keeps out rain, snow, and everything in between
    • 700-fill recycled down insulation offer low-weight warmth
    • Four external pockets give refuge for cold hands and phones
    • Detachable hood provides versatility for blue skies and blizzards
    • Patagonia’s longest parka offers full body weather protection
    • Item #PAT02IN

    Warm and Stylish

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 130lbs

So far, this seems to be a nice warm parka, much warmer than my two year old duete parka. It has down in the hood, unlike the duete and a cozier neck closure.
It has 700 fill down which feels much fuller than the duete's 600. Additional pockets are very functional. A better fit, because I had to size up with the duete parka to make room for layering. Am waiting to see how it is when the temperatures are in the teens.

    Not warm

    • Fit: True to size

I was so hopeful for this coat. I need something that will keep me warm during the frigid northeast winter. When it arrived it was very thin and almost no insulation in the arms. It says it's 700 count but it really feels so light, almost less than the Patagonia Nanopuff I own. It will be fine for layering but I don't want to do that. The hood is nice, fits well, is lightweight, the material seems like it will repel water, but overall wasn't warm enough for my needs.
