These are so great for those of us who want a warm baselayer, but don't want extra fabric getting stuffed into our boots. As always, Patagonia have it dialed on the fabic and designs of all their gear.

The medium is a 32 waist but you'd have to have enormous legs for them to fit otherwise. Ordering a small but pretty sure it will be too small in the waist. I've been having a hard time getting Patagonia bottoms to fit. Their sizing and shaping seems to vary quite a bit.

I have been wearing these all season so far and am very happy. The boot length is awesome and means I don't have to deal with bunched up pants or extra layers in my boots. The only downside was that they split out at one of the seams after about 3 weeks of heavy use, but Patagonia as always was easy to deal with and they were quickly replaced at no charge.

I will never again return to non-truncated base layers. These pick up where my ski socks leave off for minimal redundancy in extremity fabric. They are warm, comfortable, and withstand the somewhat violent spin cycle of my washing machine.

Patagonia has always made some pretty comfortabe & long lasting thermals. Very happy with these!

The grid fleece fabric on these is awesome! Super plush and comfy, but the thin parts of the grid allow it to still be quite breathable so they do not suffocate you when it warms up. When it's super warm you'll definitely want one of their lighter offerings, but for mild to cold winter weather these are awesome.

I am a 34 waist, Large fits perfect.
