The Patagonia Board Short is perfect for rambunctious little boys raising havoc! Whether in the water or on land, and any combination, these shorts are perfect. My son wears the heck out of them! They dry fast and clean up well.

Patagonia's Board Short for toddler boys is a more than viable option for your little boy and his first forays into the water. The nylon/DWR design does shed water pretty well and dries faster than usual at the beginning. The fit is pretty close to normal though my boy is pretty big so it came off a bit tight. Also, the color scheme is hit or miss as the navy/orange blend is awesome but the green is a bit too bright.

Solid set of trunks

I just bought my second pair for my 2 year old son. These are great trunks- comfortable yet durable fabric, and great looking. I tend to have a hard time fittings shorts that fit my son's belly (it's large!) and aren't too long. I really like the length of these shorts. They do run small, so be sure to size up.

These swim trunks are just too cute for words. I loved both styles and tried both out for my boys. The colors are just perfect, the quality is top notch, and the bold stripes were a hit. Unfortunately, the sizing on these ran about a size smaller than we'd anticipated, and we had to return. I do wish they made these same trunks in boys sizing - we'd snap them up in a heartbeat!

These seem to run a bit more fitted than other Patagonia kids clothes - our guy is average size and I think the 2T will fit him for one summer only where as most Patagonia items we can get two seasons out of it. I would size up if trying to stretch longer but they are awesome shorts with plenty of room for a swim diaper underneath.
